It adds in a new map, Rhineland, made by a member of the community. It also adds in: Australia, along with their Owen Gun, a new unlockable Scottish unit, an African-American unlockable unit and another unlockable German unit.

There's tons more too, like Steam Trading Cards, new Achievements and so many I cannot list them all here. You can find the full update notes here.

If you haven't seen it already and you're on the fence about buying it, see my review here. I absolutely love it!

The game is also on sale on Chrono.gg (100% legitimate), which comes with Insugency, their other FPS, for free. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

The update crashes on Linux with segmentation fault, the devs are on it: https://steamcommunity.com/app/447820/discussions/0/1290690669220852003/?ctp=3#c1290690669221687234

How does Day of Infamy compare to games like BF2 and BF3 (gameplay wise)?

Quoting: AryvandaarHow does Day of Infamy compare to games like BF2 and BF3 (gameplay wise)?

- No destructible environment (BF3)
- No vehicular combat
- Smaller maps
- No health packs
- No infinite spawns
- Slower paced

I'm not going to say that Day of Infamy is a little less hectic or that it can be played a little more "tactical" as that really depends on the team. I've seen good and organized gameplay in Battlefield and Day of Infamy alike, just as I've seen really bad teams that act more like a bunch of headless chickens in both games. I think that really is true for any MP game. You just don't see that much bunny hopping in Day of Infamy 'cause if you get hit, you get hit. End of game.
