Humble are back of form, sort-of, with a new Humble Indie Bundle 18 stocked full of Linux games for you to drool over.

I say sort-of, since none of these are new to Linux, some have been on Linux for quite some time. It's not always a great idea to have games ported for the HIB either, as we found out with multiple games (some still not even ported as promised, hello Giana Sisters). That said, it's actually a pretty fantastic collection.

For "Pay what you want":

Pay more than the average:
  • Kentucky Route Zero (Season Pass Edition)
  • Beholder
  • Goat Simulator: GOATY
  • + More to be added in

Pay $13 (about £10.06) or more for:
  • Owlboy

That's an awesome bundle! All GNU/Linux and all DRM-free. I just bought the full package despite already owning Owlboy. I really appreciate this.

Turns out the Ziggurat keys come with a little bonus game accidentally: https://twitter.com/milkstone/status/864577551099985920

Great bundle! Finally a bundle worth picking up again.

I have already a huge backlog so it is nearly imposible to get really excited anymore... BUT

1) All the games do support Linux!
2) All the games are DRM-free!
3) I do not have any of the games and they all look interesting

This hasn't happened for years...

HIB always had this way of mixing the games I really like with the games I couldn't care about less (yes, I'm looking at you, Goat Simulator). Fortunately, you can now separate how much you are giving to each game and I'm also overdue for a charity donation anyway. I'll be buying the full bundle since I want Owlboy, although it's not a great sign for the game when it has much higher critic score than user score on Metacritic.

Apparently, the games that will be added later will not be DRM-free (as the platform indicator shows). Or it is a mistake. No matter though, the value of currently offered games is high enough.

I haven't missed any Humble Indie Bundle so I will buy this one as well. Shame that I'm only missing Beholder and Owlboy, but the bundle is amazing all the same.

It might be a gift, but "Little Racers STREET" doesn't even start. And according to the Steam forum I am far from alone... Anyone got this working?

I bought it on release and played 9+ hours without any problems (on Debian Testing). Just tried it again and yeah, it doesn't seem to start (Arch Linux).

Works on SteamOS though.
