Emil Velikov has announced the availability of Mesa 17.1 RC4 for some final testing, with the final release of Mesa 17.1 due in approximately 24 hours.

This RC released fixes around 36 bugs and it enables AMD Polaris 12 support for both OpenGL and Vulkan. It also fixes other general bugs with radv (AMD), i965 (Intel), anv (Intel) and other various fixes.

Find the announcement here.

Awesome work for the Mesa developers, should be a good release. Mesa 17.1 will have: the OpenGL threaded dispatch code to improve performance in certain games, more OpenGL extension support for extensions not part of a particular OpenGL version, shader cache and more. I wonder how will this perform on Intel HD graphics. Not that I use my laptop much these days, but I've always wondered if I can squeeze a little more fps out of the i3-5005U processor.
