A fresh build of the RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 open source game engine OpenRCT2 is now available that continues to polish up the experience.

Along with many bugs squashed, there's a few improvements and new features. You now have access to keyboard shortcuts for track construction, which should help the more keyboard focused gamers. When you remove all guests from a ride, it no longer closes and removes all the vehicles.

Also, when playing over multiplayer, scenario option changes are now synced between players. On top of that, there's now Catalan language support.

All that and more on the changelog.

Surprisingly, it actually has a number of servers online, so you can dive in and play online with others.

I'm tempted to check it out myself, as it does look good and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 is a game I never got to experience. That's the beauty of all these open source game engines, giving me and others a chance to play games we never did on our favourite platform, love it.

Anyone tried OpenRCT2 yet? Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I finally got to installing it a month ago, its been working well. Would be nice to have a pixel doubling like OpenRA, sometimes it seems rather small on 3440x1440
