Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation [GOG][Steam][Official Site] will come to Linux if Stardock see enough requests for it. The CEO of Stardock has requested to see how much interest there is.

If you don't know what it is, here's a trailer to give you an idea:

From the Steam forum, Stardock's CEO posted:
QuoteWith the Vulkan work coming to an end, we are considering the port to Linux.

If you are interested in a Linux version, please sign here.

It already has 10 pages of replies.

So if you're interested and would actually buy a copy if it gets a Linux release, head to the Steam topic to give your support.

As a massive fan of strategy titles like this, it has my full support.

Hopefully Stardock are smart enough to not do it just for the money, the game itself would be more alive with a few thousand+ extra players for the online play. We all know these types of real time strategy games aren't as popular as they once were, if they want the game to stay alive, they need the extra players. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I would love to see this game on Linux and furthermore I really hope that Vulkan version will outperform DX12 on both Windows and Linux :) This would be great showcase of the superiority of Vulkan not only in openness but also in cross-platform performance :D

Signed. I'm not sure if this is my type of game or not, but it would still be nice for it to come to Linux.

I've been hoping to see this one get a port since they were using vulkan instead of dx12. will be an instant buy once we get a beta build.

I would definitely buy this game for Linux, there aren't enough RTS games like this any more.

According to my reading over the last few months (or years already ?), it's not a modern SupCom, it's not a bad RTS but it's a different taste than TA/SupCom.

Yea, finally a word on this game.
Signed too, I hope they'll do it. I have had an eye on this since they mentioned they'll be looking into supporting Linux.

Considering how long it's been from them, how many times it's been pushed back, and what appears to be a lack of enthusiasm on their part....I don't actually care for this game anymore.

Well, that they will port it with Vulkan was pretty much what they stated since the beginning. There hardly was news of them on the item though.

I don't blame them, things like that take time, especially on new APIs which still are sure to have bugs in the driver-side implementation. And a lot of room for mistakes client-side to iron out.

It was pushed back for real reasons though and it's hard to argue why. The fact is they have been quite open about it all and now Vulkan is basically done.

It's great news we are still so close in their minds. I don't give a fuck about delays, as long as it's for understandable reasons. A good game delayed, is better than no game at all.

By the way Liam.... any news about Cossaks??

Did you ever check out Planetary Annihilation: TITANS? It is made by some of the same developers from Supreme Commander. I really liked it and it's available in Linux.

As for this game, I posted my support for it yesterday and will definitely buy if released on Linux as it's my only system, and the options in bug titles is limited.

I would like to buy this game on Linux. I still play the old Command and Conquer series frequently under Wine, but I would like a new big strategy game that is a little different. I have a GTX1050 TI, but don't have a particularly fast CPU, so would very much appreciate a Vulkan graphics mode.
rustybroomhandle May 27, 2017
Sure, I will sign yes. Even though I dislike that horrible man with a passion.
Leopard May 27, 2017
I wonder about something Liam.

Why you have that game in your library already?

As i can see from your profile , you are not dual booting with Windows too. I can't get it.
