Quite often I visit random games I like the look on Steam and dive into the community looking for posts mentioning Linux. It turns out that Stardrift Nomads [Steam, Official Site], a really good looking dual-stick shooter should be coming to Linux.
In this case, a user requested a Linux version back in April, so I fired off a message of support yesterday and the developer replied with:
I wasn't expecting something so positive so soon, fantastic.
I think it looks really good and the action certainly looks like it will be intense! Customizable ships too, which always makes a game more interesting.
It's not just a standard bullet-hell type game either, it actually has a campaign to play through, with you protecting some sort of colony. It definitely looks like an interesting addition to the genre.
