Another time to show support for a game to come to Linux, if you would buy it that is. The developer of Inner Voices [Steam, Official Site] has stated with enough support they will bring it to Linux.
Spooky! It certainly has my interest.
In this post asking for feedback on various things, Linux users requested Linux support to which the developer replied with:
I love the positivity and additionally once another Linux gamer said they would buy it, they developer replied again with:

Remember though, don't just say you will buy it if you don't actually plan to. This inflates our numbers and doesn't help.

QuoteHeyah Penguin! :D Glad to have you on board!
Well, it is not as easy as people think. Yes, hitting another "export" button is one step of the process, but there are many more. I can explain the whole operation if you insist, but it'll be a wall a text.
Long story short - if enough people would request a Linux version - we'll get busy right away :D

Bring more people and the odds shall rise! >:D
Features
- Non-LINEAR storyline.
- Intriguing, disquieting gameplay due to the ever-changing randomized maze.
- Unique, dark atmosphere inspired by the works of H.P.Lovecraft, E.A.Poe and S.King.
- An amazing experience thanks to the moody soundtrack and audio design
- Addictive story full of plot twists and choices that may lead you to one of 5 different ending
- A possibility of enjoying the game in 4 different cinematic languages: English, Polish, Turkish and Russian
- Engaging puzzles with different levels of complexity
Remember though, don't just say you will buy it if you don't actually plan to. This inflates our numbers and doesn't help.
Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
To the Inner Voices developers:
While I am probably not going to buy this game (I didn't vote in the poll or post in the steam thread for that reason), just because the genre isn't for me and I only have so much money to spend anyway, please know that I really appreciate how much you all seem to respect your community and if you all continue doing game development I will follow your work into the future.

Quoting: Projectile VomitI would buy it, depending on my funds at the time.If money would happen to be the main obstacle - I will remove that obstacle out of your way.
These days, I can't promise anything.
Quoting: natis1To the Inner Voices developers:Oh its alrighty. I'm not looking at you like at wallet with arms and legs =) Shame we don't have the Linux port ready already. I would just send you a free key - if money is the issue. I've been there. So no pity from my side. Only sympathy. I know money don't grow on trees.

And well. Wow. Thx Natis. I mean it. You know, there are many 'currencies' on this planet. And money is but one of many. You just 'paid' me with currency I consider to be of much, much higher value. Thank you for that. =)
Also, shame there's only that "heart"/like button for posts. I find it insufficient. I'd rather press a "love" button for that post of yours.

Quoting: InnerVoicesDevHow about this guys? I just created a google form just for you, regarding Linux port of Inner Voices.
"You can talk the talk - but can you walk the walk?" =)

Sorry, but have to reject the proposal. I will never buy a game from Steam™. :(
So, I will ignore the poll as both of the answers are unsatisfactory.

Quoting: Alm888Oh but its not just steam. Very soon we are entering Greenman Gaming, Itch.io and maybe GOG if this gains enough momentum:Quoting: InnerVoicesDevHow about this guys? I just created a google form just for you, regarding Linux port of Inner Voices.

On To-Do list - there are already other storefronts, but they are down the line, due to how few of us there is heh. 99% of them DRM-free. =)

OK, I'll give it a try. To be honest, I did not even hear about your game till yesterday, let alone saw it (and I am not keen on buying a cat in a sack). And currently Metacritic is not helpful at all… So, I need some time to evaluate the game properly (should probably watch some video on YouYube, read Steamcommunity etc.).
Hope your survey has reasonable life span (and will not expire, say, tomorrow). ;-)

Talking to you guys got me kind a inspired so I wrote this thing over here:
http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/RadekBazak/20170517/298121/Biggest_LifeHack_of_IndieDev_Talk_to_them_.php
Also. We just exported the game for Linux and we are currently testing. I will need around 3-5 volunteers with Linux on board. One condition - have to be via Steam. Because you'll get a free Full version of the game.
So... you guys still think I'm pulling your leg to raise some hype and drop you off once you aren't needed? XD
I'll come back here with a link - once we'll get the Linux build parked on Valve servers.
Kudos! :D
