Developer DONTNOD has announced that they are working on another Life is Strange title! Exciting, considering how much I enjoyed the Linux port.

Check out their announcement in this video:

Also announced in this blog post.

They said they've been working on a new Life is Strange since they released the boxed version, so it's been in development for a while already.

You can find my original review and port report on Life is Strange here.

Hopefully Feral Interactive are on good terms with DONTNOD so that we will see it ported to Linux, here's to hoping! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Quoting: dubigrasuChrist people, would you just stop giving away that the ending is bad?
While not entirely a spoiler, every-time I think about starting the game I know is gonna end bad like a weight standing above my head...enough already.

The ending is actually quite good. No idea why some people don't like it. And the game itself is a great experience. I played through the entire game even after watching the ending on YouTube. Just start playing already!
That was helpful, thanks :)

Feral must work with DONTNOD from the development stage and not after the Windows release.

Massive spoilers in there. I mean it.

- Because you know at least after the beginning of chapter 3 how it's going to end. It's glaringly obvious after "fate" prevents you from saving the dad.
- Because "trying to change the flow of time is futile" is the exact same theme we have seen in at least 10,000 other time travel stories already. It's used so often in this kind of stories that even the word "trope" doesn't do it justice anymore.
- Because the ending invalidated every single choice you made in the game. No matter what you did, it's in the end all pointless. Nothing you ever did in the game mattered. It gets all rolled back and you are -literally- left off where you started. If Max would have just squashed the butterfly in the bathroom, the situation would have been -exactly- the same. Even the psycho guy is getting arrested without her interference.
- And don't get me started about the "evil" alternative, which is so laughably out of character for Max that's not even funny.

As I said, I loved the game. But the ending was just horrible, unoriginal writing.

Not to spoil it, but Vampyr from DONTNOD is just around the corner and I haven't read anything about Linux version or port.

So don't expect this LiS sequel to be available on Linux either.

Chloe says it did.

Dubigrasu, the game is slow to come into (took me a second try), but I too found the ending very good.

Quoting: GuestI bought and tried playing that game but found it so boring. What am I missing here?

I had the same after half an hour or an hour.
Tried it again later - prepared that it's slow-paced, especially in the beginning - and I'm very happy I did.

I disliked the game because the gameplay was boring, too much driven and the setting too much cliché to my taste (they sitted in the comfort zone of the uncomfortably). You saw those things in a billion other TV shows or books, nothing was really "new". In my opinion they watched too many "average american teenager" TV shows. But maybe my opinion was influenced only by a cultural problem (I'm Italian, so things here are different, sensibility too).

Lets hope they sort out all the flaws and make a great game, I bet the team has all potential to succeed.

That said, I suggest to whom which liked the game to read the book "Skippy Dies" by Paul Murray
