Torment: Tides of Numenera [Steam, GOG, Official Site] got a big free update which includes a brand new companion along with some other goodies.

Release Highlights:
  • The new companion, Oom, has their own companion quest, "Servant of the Tides". They have unique abilities and interactions with other characters too.
  • There's now a 'Voluminous Codex', which will unlock lore and character entries as you progress through the game.
  • You can also get to Tier 5 and Tier 6, allowing for even more character progression to be possible in the later game.
  • Many other smaller improvements and fixes

See the full update notes here.

It's also on sale on Steam to celebrate, so it's your chance to grab a great Linux RPG for a bit cheaper. You can read my initial port report here, where I loved it. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

A great RPG (no matter what some people say) has gotten better.

Thinking about buying it (eventually) but - I've got MASSES of games in my Steam library that I haven't tried yet - including Pillars of Eternity *and* Divinity Original Sin. So, for now, I'm holding onto my purse-strings.
