Two Worlds II HD - Call of the Tenebrae [Steam] is a new standalone version of the upcoming 'Call of the Tenebrae' DLC [Steam] for Two Worlds II. It will see day-1 Linux support.
While we knew Two Worlds II and the new DLC was coming to Linux, I've only just noticed that there will be a standalone version too. They claim you don't need to have played any of Two Worlds II to enjoy it, which is why it will have a standalone version too.
Two Worlds II is getting an engine upgrade too along with this new DLC/Standalone version, so anyone who played it before will hopefully see a better experience. I've never played it before and we do have a big lack of even reasonably decent 3D RPG titles, so I really hope it's not terrible.
It will release on May 25th, so not long to go.
About Call of the Tenebrae
I have to admit, I've been impressed with TopWare Interactive lately, pushing out Linux versions of old games wrapped up with a copy of Wine for Linux gamers to easily enjoy their older titles.
I've sent off a press request to TopWare for a review key and they usually reply to me, so hopefully we can cover it properly.

Cool of them to offer the DLC up as a standalone version.
Also that pic makes me nostalgic as hell for Gothic.

Looks like the negative Steam reviews for TW2 focus largely on the registration/activation/DRM, which I take it is to be toned down in the upgraded version.

Gameplay video for this DLC is not working for me on Steam. I would like to see how this game looks like.

Great, I totally loved TW 2 back in the days.
It was one of my first games for PS3 and had a really interesting combat system, much better than in the TES-games...

Tenebrae has been on my wishlist forever. Indeed, I've held off playing Two Worlds at all until the promised enhancements and Tenebrae have been released. I'm really looking forward to this one.
