A large patchset from Mesa developer Samuel Pitoiset landed in Mesa-git early today to hook up Bindless Texture support for AMD radeonsi. The patches were sent into the Mesa-dev list last month, so it took a few weeks for it to get sorted.
This OpenGL extension was required by Dawn of War III from Feral Interactive. I've already seen a few reports of it now running, which is awesome.
It's a shame it didn't make it in for release day, but it's fantastic to see all the work being done by the various Mesa developers. Looks like Mesa 17.2 is going to be a rather exciting release with goodies like this.
For more info on Bindless Textures, see this official Khronos page. Bindless Texture isn't part of any specific OpenGL version, but it's one of the more recent additions to help with AZDO (Approaching zero driver overhead). If you want a refresher on AZDO, see this video.

Curios if we can get Samsai in a game this time around.
We can all be salty together as the AI crushes us to a pulp. :D

Liam is it possible you can do a list of E3 games that might be coming to Linux? might make for a interesting news article. I'm trying to find out details myself but with not much luck...

Game runs good with mesa 17.2, on the old RX 470 got around double the fps as the same settings on vulkan. which was a jump from around 60-70 fps to 110+. Very nice.

Works nice, it was actually a tad faster with ogl than vulkan for me.
RX480 Image quality= maximum, Textures=max, AA=low
RADV: 30-56fps
OGL: 39-60
Ogl also had less micro stuttering.

There's the two titles Aspyr are publishing (which we've covered before) but not much else I've heard about.
