Planet Nomads [Steam, Official Site, GOG], the utterly gorgeous sandbox survival game has a fresh update out that adds in plenty of extremely useful features.

I should note, that the game is Early Access and it's very rough around the edges, but it is one of the most promising sandbox survival games I've played for some time now.

For those of you who get sick with a low field of view, rejoice! There's now a FOV slider in the game for both first and third person modes. I always like to crank mine up somewhat, so I'm especially happy about this.

You can now customize your controls, which should be in any game really. Forcing people to use a specific layout is never a good thing, especially with different types of keyboards around.

They've added basic gamepad support, but it currently doesn't work in menus and inventory. Hopefully they will continue to improve it.

There's plenty more, so check out the release notes. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

It's a great game, not had any issues with it. I'd say it is better in early access than many are when released.

Quoting: 14If it gets multiplayer / co-op, I'll get it, otherwise I'm personally not interested in playing by myself.

I will get into it once that happens also, maybe some twitch stream stuff.

Well I have it already because I was following its development long before release and there was a discount, it was risky and It may still turn into abandon-ware at some point, but we will see.

It has got much better since pre-steam launch versions, I hope they can improve on it a fair bit more and remove that god awful fog of war, and perhaps make better LOD for shrubbery/trees as the pop-in is ugly.

I am really interested in this game. Linux version, DRM free and a decent looking game makes a great combo but $40 CAD is steep for an early access game in my books. If I catch a deal for $20 I'll be all over it or I will pay $40 for the fully released game maybe.

Why they are not doing multiplayer from begin? when they will try to implement it they will fail, like no man's sky and many other examples. That games should be build with multiplayer in mind, if not they will fail or they will have to rewrite everything from almost scratch. Its common developers think they active just a thing on unity and magic...
