Ravenfield [Steam, itch.io] is the single-player indie FPS that shows some real promise, so I took a look at the latest update.
Note: The version on itch.io seems out of date. I suggest getting it on Steam if you want decent support. My copy was provided by a GOL follower, not the developer.
I decided to do a video take this time around, more thoughts below:
In short, the new map looks fantastic and it's huge. Plenty of ways to play it from both sides and it's pretty decent. Lots of vehicles to take advantage of and turrets to shoot them down with.
The game is early, but even so there's a few things I would like to see adjusted. It seems currently that if you fall into the water, you cannot actually get back onto the aircraft carrier, as you cannot pull yourself up to the platform.
When you're trying to get into a vehicle, it's not entirely clear where exactly you will be. A pilot? A passenger? Unless you lined up with the exact spot you want, you will need to get out and get back in the correct place. A key to switch places would be pretty ideal.
I'm going to say the same thing I feel I will always say about this game: it needs multiplayer. I get that it might be difficult for a small team, but a game like this obviously taking a lot of inspiration from titles like Battlefield that won't have multiplayer? I just can't see myself enjoying it for long periods against AI. They bluntly shoot down the constant influx of "will this have multiplayer?" too, which is a damn shame. I can't help but think just how popular this game would be if it had servers, think of the fun we could have!

Yep, no multiplayer is a huge flaw to the game design, and even if it's extrafun in solo, it won't last long versus bots.

... but the graphics? The graphics are plain late nineties, are nobody going to point that out?
