Welcome to another Wednesday Madness here at GOL. This time around it's a Steam-focused post, since Steam has a massive sale on.

These are what I consider to be essential games to own if you're a Linux gamer!

- Middle-earth™: Shadow of Mordor™, 80% off
An earlier port from Feral Interactive with tons to explore and some really fantastic combat. The Nemesis feature, where enemies grow stronger if they kill you made it an incredibly interesting game to play.

- Cities: Skylines, 75% off
If you're in the mood to built the city of your dreams, then you should look no further. It's constantly updated with big patches and content filled DLC packs. Graphically, it can be damn beautiful too with the day and night cycle.

- Broforce, 75% off
Quite possibly one of the best games available on Linux. A completely action-packed platform where the levels can get utterly annihilated as you play. You will die, a lot. Enemies will laugh at you when you die, a lot. It's just brilliant fun. Each time you die, you start off with a different character from the impressive roster, each with their own silly quirks and it's downright madness when you play it with friends.

- DiRT Rally, 70% off
I'm not going to lie to you, it's hard. Gorgeous looking cars, really quite brilliant handling and the port is really fantastic. Another knockout from Feral Interactive here. There's a tournament going on in our forum too, check it out. It's embarrassing how terrible a driver I am in this one, but that's part of the fun right?

- Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition, 60% off
I get that some people will be worn-out from Zombie games, but even so, you should make an exception for this one. Some seriously slick parkour, tons of customizable weapons and a reasonably good story to back it up.

- Cossacks 3, 50% off
It may have taken the developers a long time and they consider it to be in Beta, but it should be applauded that GSC kept at it and did eventually bring out the Linux version.

- Rocket League, 40% off
Addictive, enough said? We regularly play it with the community on livestreams, so snap it up if you want to join in on the ball jokes fun times.

You can see everything on sale for Linux & SteamOS on Steam at this link.

Personally, I'm quite tempted and impressed by the value of the Valve Complete Pack . It works out as 91% discount, and gets you a tonne of really great Linux titles such as Counter-Strike: GO, Halflife, Halflife 2, Portal, Portal 2, Left 4 Dead 2, plus a number of others. There are a few Windows-only games in there too.

Noting that in my case, I already own some of those titles. However, the way the offer works, it cuts out the titles you already own so you just pay for the ones you're missing. Pretty cool eh!

Now... the question... do I get it.... the wallet, it burns!!!!

I've only picked up Ballistic Overkill so far. My wallet doesn't have the funds it used to, and my backlog is pretty hefty already. :(

I suggest to use the list on SteamDB, it's much better to use, especially that you can sort it on the fly. If you log in with your Steam account, you can highlight/hide owned games, also it shows how good the current deal is.

I've been considering getting it for a while - It's a very nice looking game with good mechanics and a friend recommended it to me. It is now at its highest recorded discount of 75%: Valley

Wallet coming out now...

I bought DD the first day of Summer Sale. I've been playing the heck out of it since.. It's atmosphere and ability to make you lose hours at a time is a bit reminiscent to me of Hand of Fate. I think its great..
