The Wine Staging team has put out their 2.11 release and it comes with some interesting fixes. They've done some adjustments to help run GTA 5 and The Witcher 3.
As a reminder: Wine Staging is the testing area for future features and fixes to make it into the normal Wine development releases and then eventually a stable Wine build.
First up, some highlights of the release:
As for the game fixes: The Witcher 3 should now display intro videos and contain less graphical glitches to give a more complete experience. GTA 5 no longer needs "-GPUCount 1" as parameter or to change the PCI IDs to run the game on a NVIDIA graphic card. They've also fixed some input issues in GTA 5.
They also put in a fix for the remaining mouse issues in Unity engine games.
See their release notes here. Sounds like a pretty fun release.

My wonder is if i can get Starcraft 1 or remastered working so i can play with friends.
Starcraft 1 now dies when i start battle net.
depends what the game is built on sc2 is based on dx9 so it very easy to get up and running on wine however if its DX11 it could be brutal
Blizzard games are a pain to run , especially their client.
Starcraft 2 should work fine
I still have yet to try the solution provided by camoceltic :

Yup, the keyboard issue in GTA V is gone but other than that it's still the glitchy and slow mess it's always been since it was first launchable. I have an nvidia card and I never heard of this -GPUCount 1 thing before though
Need.... Patience........... 0.0
edit: also, anyone who has newer versions of the game can't launch it due to DRM, delete the "update" folder from the game's root and play offline or install a crack

can someone please confirm weather 2.11 staging is 32bit or 64bit format? I was using P.O.L with 2.11 64bit and the game wouldn't launch.
2.11-staging 64bit wasn't available. Am i wrong?

I don't use POL builds. Better install staging packages directly, and just reference them from POL (for example by making a symlink). Some packages are here: https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/

If they fixed the mouse issues that should bump several titles' rating I maintain to Gold :). Gotta re-test them soon, though it's worth mentioning that many Unity titles can be made run natively :).

the guide is for play on linux but other than that only changes i made were to win version and screen size. It should not be a problem either version. Also the pol utility does actually have an updated script for sc2.
