Slightly sad news today, as the amazing looking Observer [Steam, Official Site] from Bloober Team & Aspyr Media has a release date announcement, but it doesn't include Linux.

On August 15th the game will release for Windows and consoles, but there's now no Linux date set. To be clear, the Linux version hasn't been dropped, but it seems it will see a delayed release. Aspyr Media should be reaching out to us when it gets closer to releasing on Linux.
I'm really looking forward to it, so not having it day-1 is a bit of a let-down for me, but hopefully this is to ensure the Linux version is solid.

I think we're used to delays of developers with little to no Linux experience underestimating the demands of cross-platform development or simply overlooking the fact that Windows-only middleware doesn't magically compile on Linux.
But Aspyr?

Another developer being silent about exactly the issues they are facing with Linux (like specific not generalizations). The only way to get a solution is to be vocal about the problem. Too many would-be Linux port developers have gone away silently instead of reaching out.

No , actually they're experienced with Linux and OsX. These are the devs of Layers of Fear which is available for Linux and OsX.
Also @Comandante Ñoñardo , having a depot for a platform doesn't mean anything.
For a recent example : Everspace.

They have depots but for Linux but they delayed Linux release because of UnrealEngine 4 problems on Linux and also Nvidia driver problems on Linux.

That was Kimyrielle's point - they are experienced, and should be able to properly plan for simultaneous release, if it's a priority for them.

Support on Unreal Engine for Linux is a mess when compared to Unity , maybe they are little underestimated this and planned like they are on Unity

Personnaly I don't think developers should always let everyone know what exact problems they are facing, it's nice to know but in fact it's none of our business. Maybe that's a trivial issue and they would get a backlash by being too open or who knows what.
To me it's nice that they're already telling there'll be "some" delay. And then again I'm not going angry at once at a developer because the game is not on Linux day 1. Of course that'd be nice as well, but as long as we're not talking months after a Windows release I find that totally acceptable.
