Streets of Rogue [Official Site] is the super slick rogue-lite about player choice and it just got even better. You can now create your own customized character for your play-through!
If you've forgotten about it, check out their trailer:
The game is still in Early Access as the developer pushes out more content, but the ability to create your own character sure will be fun. The developer notes that it's a little limited right now and the next build might remove your created character's, hopefully that won't happen too often.
The AI also got a little smarter. If you start smacking a fire hydrant, the cops won't be very happy about it. The cops also won't go mental on a fire hydrant trying to kill it if it sprays them with water.
There's also lots of smaller bug fixes.

About the game
QuoteStreets of Rogue is a rogue-lite about player choice, freedom, and anarchic fun. The game takes inspiration from fast-paced top-down rogue-lites like Binding of Isaac and Nuclear Throne, and adds free-form, experimentation-driven, emergent gameplay elements of RPGs like Deus Ex.
Rather than taking place in a dungeon, the game is set in a functioning, procedurally generated city, where complex AI informs denizens from all walks of life, who are just trying to get by in their daily activities.
In order to progress, the player will need to accomplish specific mission goals in any way they see fit through use of their special character traits, items, and the environment.
