Blade Symphony [Steam], a fighting game involving some fancy swordplay looks like it will come to Linux along with their free to play update.
They shared this on Twitter, which has a gif showing it off.
After weeks of work, this is Blade Symphony on a newer Source Engine version engine working on #Linux in 64-bit. #indiedev #gamedev #games pic.twitter.com/yf2qHzoBk6

They noted it was running at 300FPS in another tweet, nice! They've taken to reddit to talk about it too, but they aren't giving any promises just yet.
About the game
QuoteProve you are the world's greatest swordsman in Blade Symphony: a slash-em-up featuring a highly detailed and in-depth sword fighting system. Face down other players in tactical swordplay, 2 versus 2 team duels, sandbox FFA, or the Control Points game mode!
It sounds like a pretty detailed game too, with unique characters, each with over forty different attacks. You get to choose what type of sword you want as well, from a Katana to a Jian.
If this comes to Linux as it seems, count me in. Exactly the type of game I love!
Right now (as I type this) there are 4 players in game, going Free to Play might change that but it's pretty much dead in the water right now.Yeah, unfortunately so. It died off quite quickly after launch which is a shame because it's quite a unique versus fighting game. Also surprisingly intuitive for me. I usually suck at versus fighting games. :D
