About the game
QuoteSurviving Mars is a sci-fi city builder all about colonizing Mars and surviving the process. Choose a space agency for resources and financial support before determining a location for your colony. Build domes and infrastructure, research new possibilities and utilize drones to unlock more elaborate ways to shape and expand your settlement. Cultivate your own food, mine minerals or just relax by the bar after a hard day’s work. Most important of all, though, is keeping your colonists alive. Not an easy task on a strange new planet.

There will be challenges to overcome. Execute your strategy and improve your colony’s chances of survival while unlocking the mysteries of this alien world. Are you ready? Mars is waiting for you.

I am very excited to give this one a go, but we do have a while to wait. It won't release until sometime next year!

I am definitely interested in this one!

We have time to play many other games before this one is done.

It will probably be end of 2018 for v1 and then 1 or 2 more years for decent DLC with a good price on a complete pack.

Not a fan of the art style, looks more like the sims on mars than my vision of a city builder. Bold child like colours don't portray the sense of danger that one ought to feel in a game about colonising an alien planet.

Be careful, this is Paradox with their ill of DLC (i.e. of DLC pricing).
Probably I will buy this one somewhere in early 2020-ies.

Cannot wait to try this out as I am a huge fan when it comes to city builders and this one also reminds me of planetbase which is all good.

I am not a fan of the art style though as it looks too cartoony and the colours look horrible so hopefully this will be improved come release.

I have added this one to the wish list.

Tropico in space? :P

Definitely a fan of Haemimont and Paradox, so who know, it might be a really cool game!

The announcement had be very interested, and now the gameplay trailer almost certainly locks it in. I'll always be up for a game set on Mars! [I've been playing Red Faction Guerilla with Wine to get my current fix].
Plus I'm always happy to support Paradox and day-1 linux support.

Lets not get hysterical over this. Yes Paradox developed games tend to be DLC heavy but games merely published by them have always been more than reasonable. PoE, Cities, Tyranny all as examples.

Haemimont did a great job on Victor Vran and the newer tropico games are OK too (still love the first one) https://www.haemimontgames.com/?#games

So I might buy it, as long as it doesn't become DLC hell like tropico 4 and 5
