Ryan "Icculus" Gordon [Official Site, Twitter], the man responsible for maintaining many development tools like SDL 2 and who ported many games to Linux, is looking for new games to port. The fun thing is, he doesn't require payment since he's funded by his Patreon.

He's had contracts with Valve, Epic Games, Activision, Google, Crytek and plenty more. He has a lot of awesome work under his belt!

From his new post:

This is a pretty interesting way to get Linux ports done. Ryan has hit over $750 a month on Patreon now, so any ports he does as a result of this directly, will be funded by his Patreon, not the original game developer.

I've seen the discussion of crowdfunding Linux ports come up here and there, but this is one of the times that it might work. So, if you know any, send the developer to him and we may see more Linux games get ported as a result.

I know it is unrealistic, but it will be awesome if he can finish Mohaa and Devastation for Linux. I really do not want to use an old computer with Linux 2.4 to play mohaa on Linux.
Additionally, I tried to finish playing Devastation on Linux because I had the save games from the version for Windows, but I gave up after several levels.

Work on writing wxFRED for Linux! wxFRED is a Linux port of the Freespace 1/2 Mission editor. It would make the engine a lot more useful on Linux and would bring compatibility on Linux on par with the Windows version.

I know these requests are not useful, but an indie game that is probably a one man job to port would be Dungeon of the Endless. Playing this with friends at times using Windows.

I think something a little more down to earth would be good to start with. Wayforward would be a good place to start. I think we'd all like the Shantae games on Linux.

I got a key for Shantae: Risky's Revenge - Director's Cut in the Humble Eye Candy bundle, never activated. I would definitely like to play it, but I bought the bundle for Human Resource Machine.

Anyway, you won't find a single game all of us would like. In this case you'd obviously hear the usual litany of "oh noes retro platformer give me my AAA" complaints.

It's irrelevant anyway. This is about who would like his help in porting. It is unlikely that he could get an AAA publisher to even consider it. A few relevant posts in this thread mentioned developers that were interested, but didn't really have the man power or experience with Linux. I think those would be good candidates.

Doubly agreed, if Ryan is doing this on such a low wage through his Patreon it would be best if he ports something he's excited about. If it's something we're excited about than that would be awesome too :)

PUBG is no Arma code, it's UE4.

The company who did PUBG is a south korean based game company Bluehole. "Player Unknown" has the position of creative director in that company.

Well sounds nice, but that should be an Indie-title or some older game where people are willing to share the source-code. Any other really big title won't be ported and it is just unrealistic as people here doing some "The bigger, the better!"-wishing. Perhaps Legend of Grimrock 2, Shadow Warrior 2 or a port of the Dark-engine used for the Thief-series?

Ryan is such an awesome dev. I hope he gets a chance to knock on Bethesda's doorstep and see what interesting ports they'd be willing to let him work on. I'd really like to see Skyrim and Fallout 4 get ported.

I wonder how many of those are bots. I've seen some squads with names like "Timmy", "TimmyXXX", "Timmyabc", "Timmylol". I think it's safe to assume that no party of real buddies are using such names.

On top of that, there are some rumors of many AFK bots in the game, who do nothing else but constantly get into a new round to farm some BP. With BP you get chests. Now you can sell the chest or whatever is inside. I've seen a picture lately where ~25 people were AFK and came down on the same spot.

Edit: But... that's way offtopic. Ryan Gordon is way more important to talk about! :)
