Well now, it's been quite some time since I asked a direct question to my readers. Here we are once again, as I open up the floor to you.
What have you been playing on Linux lately and what do you think about it?
Personally, I've been testing out Sudden Strike 4 which releases with day-1 Linux support tomorrow. I'm going to be livestreaming a preview of it in about 10 minutes on our Twitch channel. So far, so good and I will have more thorough thoughts on it at release! Remember to keep an eye on the sidebar, as it list the next livestream and this page where you can see our schedule.
I also decided to dive in at the deep end with The Long Dark story mode, but I have to say so far it seems quite disappointing. The story feels a little boring and some of the mechanics have been annoying me quite a lot. I've lost a few campfires that I desperately needed trying to go to the pause menu quickly, but instead it just stops making my campfire — annoying. I will have more thoughts to share when I've finished the first episode, the sandbox mode is great though.
Also, a shout out to the Putt-Putt games, as my son recently completed Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo in an hour, with very little help. He loves it, so if you have kids and they might like short adventure games I highly recommend the series.

Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
This month, i've been spending way too much time on Rusted Warfare RTS, mainly because of modding and great reactions from Luke the dev, and i guess i won't stop soon...
I gave up onAlbion Online. I may try again next month, but it's utterly boring to play, and as empty as an empty bottle. Grind, zerg fight, or leave.
So i left, to come see Ryzom again (i was there in 2004 and 2007 and 2001, i think), and it's really a great experience so far.

It would be great if you succeeded. Bloodbowl 2 is one of the games I would actually run on wine.
I'm playing some Rocket League and try to find the time to finish Shadows of Mordor.
give this script a try on playonlinux apparently working upto the last patch on debian

I've been going on a little adventure game binge, spurred by my recent Full Throttle purchase (which I'd never actually played before). Which led me to finish up my Day of the Tentacle Remastered runthrough which I'd been letting languish for awhile, and then started up Zork 1 again 'cause the mood hit me. Huzzah for nonsensical puzzles!

I'm still playing Dying Light, about 70% through the main storyline and over 100 hours clocked up so far. I have to concentrate on one game at a time usually, although I'm dipping in and out of Pony Island as well.

Right now, my "Go-To-Games" are:
Borderlands 2 ... still rocks in multiplayer
7 Days To Die ... always fun to build something new.
Dying Light ... having a hard time with it in single player.
Darkest Dungeon ... very unique and awesome.
Black Ice ... after reading about it on GOL again. Love it! Sadly I do have mouse realated Problems with it.
and, of course, when I have a short amount of time to kill, Pix the Cat.

Unfortunately there hasn't been any new releases in the last months that i am really interested in (for me personally 2017 so far is somehow disappointing in case of Linux gaming). So despite the usual CS:GO i haven't played much on Steam.
But I recently set up Retroarch to play some decent arcade games like:
- Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara
- Gunbird
- Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike
- Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes

Team Fortress 2 no need to play and pay for overwatch
Cs:go its modern epic example.
League of legends(wine) funny and basic than other mobas.
Star Conflict awesome 4x space shooter. With classes but Grinding boring.
Albion online i had backed this game. Its good example for Mmorpg for linux. But grinding never ends. Its kinda boring.
Borderlands-2 pre-sequel sequel is better. Run gun fun.
Mad Max vulkan testing.
Shadow of mordor nemesis forging for next game of the serie.
Dying Light the following
nightmare difficulty xp farming (high road with some molotof and zombie swarm.
Arma 3 epic combat sim. i like to sneak-in and burst them down Performance good. I hope linux client gets par with windows on version at next update.
Hitman 2016 free trial i like this one. Funny and brutal yet silent.
Victor Vran 3D Arpg i like this one repeatable gameplay mechanics good performance good graphics. Lots of loots, movement mechanics, skill mechanics its masterpiece. But i like to see more weapons.
