Well now, it's been quite some time since I asked a direct question to my readers. Here we are once again, as I open up the floor to you.
What have you been playing on Linux lately and what do you think about it?
Personally, I've been testing out Sudden Strike 4 which releases with day-1 Linux support tomorrow. I'm going to be livestreaming a preview of it in about 10 minutes on our Twitch channel. So far, so good and I will have more thorough thoughts on it at release! Remember to keep an eye on the sidebar, as it list the next livestream and this page where you can see our schedule.
I also decided to dive in at the deep end with The Long Dark story mode, but I have to say so far it seems quite disappointing. The story feels a little boring and some of the mechanics have been annoying me quite a lot. I've lost a few campfires that I desperately needed trying to go to the pause menu quickly, but instead it just stops making my campfire — annoying. I will have more thoughts to share when I've finished the first episode, the sandbox mode is great though.
Also, a shout out to the Putt-Putt games, as my son recently completed Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo in an hour, with very little help. He loves it, so if you have kids and they might like short adventure games I highly recommend the series. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I'm playing this one now; this and Cayne are nicely done. The isometric perspective is unusual for what are really adventure games, but they pull it off well.

Finished that one recently. A great series! Played the originals under WINE (cutscenes were a little choppy in the audio, but otherwise worked perfectly); one of these days I will have to go back and play the "Complete Journey" natively.

Trying to finish Bastion at home on my HTPC, whilst playing Ballistic: Overkill and Halcyon 6 on my laptop everywhere else.
I reckon Ballistic is a lot of fun for a quick match; it's good for if I have a spare 15 minutes to jump in.
Bastion and Halcyon 6 I'm grinding out, but I'm invested in the story of both now and want to see how they end.

Newly released Full Throttle Remastered. Not quite finished it yet, but brings the nostalgia on in large chunks. Superb stuff.
Tacoma: Finished it in just under 3 hours. It's disappointingly short, but only because it's so engaging. I enjoyed it more than Gone Home and I really, really enjoyed Gone Home. Just not as nice as Soma, I guess, which felt a bit more engaging. I'd still recommend it though, provided you don't have hang-ups on the words "walking simulator". I hate that term. Judge it on the experience.
Deus Ex: MK, since I got my new shiny GTX1080, I'm playing this at 60fps and... just what a game. Incredible graphics, insane attention to detail and a stealth mechanic that actually works.
Flamebreak: A hidden gem, surely. I keep coming back to it. One of those games that rewards true skill, but is easy to slip back into. A bit like Rocket League in that respect.
And I tried a bunch of cheaper titles I've picked up recently: Root, SolarGun, Near Death and Cloudbase Prime. None of them hugely stand out, but they're all fairly decent. Well, apart from SolarGun - no tutorial, no story, no explanations... and I can't get past the third room! I must be doing something wrong. Still, it's only £1.

So recently I've finished Pillars of Eternity + White March Part 1 and 2. According to Steam it took me 195 hours, however I don't know how the time was measured (sometimes I left game and Steam running while leaving home).
The game is one of the best games I played ever and I seek for Tyranny with better price (I need to go down with cash I spend on games).
Regarding very common opinion in this thread that Broforce is very buggy - I don't remember to have serious problems with this game. According to achievements on Steam I've finished the game in January 2016 and it was great. Sure - there were some issues, like long loading times and I guess 2 crashes during whole play-through, but I considered the game great and I played on Linux.
Recently I've verified that Broforce and few other games are playable through Samsung TV Steam Link app.
Except Linux gaming I was playing a lot of PES 2018 online Beta on PS4. Would love to see Konami titles on Linux at some point.
Have anyone verified how does the Konami titles run on newest Wine? I remember being able to play demo of PES 2015 in 2014 through Wine.
