This seems like a strange idea porting decision. Still at least it's different I guess. It's not duck game though.

Tolerating intolerance is a different category from tolerating groups such as (other races, other genders, other sexual orientations). Cases for or against the two of them need to be made separately. This should be obvious to conservatives, since they typically don't tolerate (various groups of people) but do tolerate intolerance. In fact, it's actually quite difficult to hold the same stance on the two cases--how, for instance, would one both be intolerant of other races and intolerant of intolerance?

So the "liberals are so inconsistent/hypocritical because they tolerate eg gays but don't tolerate us" argument is basically facetious, a cute "zinger" meant to annoy the unwary but with nothing behind it. It's like saying that because you tolerate sushi, to be consistent you have to also tolerate swearing.

Note that this comment says nothing about the relative merits of "liberalism" or "conservatism" in themselves, I'm just pointing out the illogic of a particular argument I see too often.

I hear that neo-liberals think it's pretty natural to identify as a different gender or sexual orientation every other year, even week or so? Extreme ones now even demand their own toilets for whatever that identification might be inside head that time?

I also hear that the original liberalism of the 19th century (?) was dealing with things more truly constructive and scientific too?

I think whether one is far-left alt-left or far-right alt-right or something even between, has been conditioned towards a path towards more division of man, usually leading up in violence in the end. That's what the actual "powers that be" want? To make you fight amongst ourselves because once you get violent they know how to handle us.

"Nation or no-nation". "Religious or atheist" etc. Focus and attention is still fixed on something common..

I got no idea how letting people live how they want to could ever end up in violence.

You don't need to answer, but I'd recommend to think twice about this.
(You might want to check your "better" source for numbers of sexual herrasment per capita ("Straftaten gegen die sexuelle Selbstbestimmung" ) in 2006 and 2016. If you find them, let me know.)

I do know how it is in Deutschland today, as I live in Berlin. My wife went dancing just last Saturday night on her own. (I cared for our babies.) I know by the statistics it's safer than it used to be and of course, we both don't stay at home fearing. Crime is happening, but there's less molesting and less murder than 10 or 15 years ago - and we weren't too afraid back then, either.

The "scene" this game belongs to is actually quite old. One of the reasons Dating Sims and Visual Novels are getting more attention is that more of these games are on Steam now. The Ren'py engine also helped to put these genres on the map for Linux. Ren'py engine games were capable of being easily ported to Linux, Mac and Windows from the first public build because of the Python 2 base.

There are hundreds of these games out there already, free to download from repositories like https://games.renpy.org. For a long time these games weren't thought of as potentially profitable, even amongst the fans and creators, but once a few people found success with selling their games, it took off from there.

... And I miss late 80s/90s PC gaming. They were some of the best. Thank goodness for Wine, DOSBOX and SCUMMVM!

Step one, grab Liam. Step two, apply generous amounts of eye shadow.

My girlfriend has been watching other people's videos of this for the past few weeks - for now she's using an older PC of mine (Core2Duo + 9800GTX, nothing fancy), running Xubuntu because - well, it came with a WinXP license, sure, but I'm not running and taking care of that. :p

Anyhow, she was super excited to see this get ported, and bought it as soon as she found out. Happy to report it seems to play flawlessly for her so far on that old machine - and yes, there are a couple hidden minigame portions that are 3D rendered, despite the game being mostly a 2D visual novel.

One reason this game's got a lot of press is because it's apparently a pet project of the Game Grumps, so if you know their type of humour, that's what you can expect here. From the bits and pieces I've seen looking over her shoulder, it genuinely does seem to be a sincere, light-hearted take. With lots of dad humour.

This really isn't the best place for political discussion, but there are clearly nutjobs on the left just like there are on the right.
