Friday Livestream with Samsai at 5 PM UTC!

By -

Wow, another week has just flown by and it's time to enjoy the best segment of the week: the weekend! To get you on that weekend mood we are once again bringing you the Friday Livestream! So, get your viewing devices ready for some live Linux gaming!

One of the biggest things that has happened in gaming for me in the recent times is the Mesa 17.2 release which has many important things, among which is bindless_texture support which means DOW3 is finally playable on my system. Naturally to celebrate this we will be taking a quick look at a game that isn't that new anymore but we might as well play since I've yet to play it. We also have a couple of new and fairly weird games. Liam randomly sent me a copy of "Operation Sheep Defense", a tower defense game of sorts. Another game for which we received a key from the devs is Voxel Turf, a voxel-y sandbox game which apparently allows you to build, destroy and drive through cities.

Finally, the evening will end with our usual struggle through the underwater bases of SOMA.

Hopefully you will enjoy today's gaming menu and may you all have a fantastic weekend!

I'm a Linux gamer from Finland. I like reading, long walks on the beach, dying repeatedly in roguelikes and ripping and tearing in FPS games. I also sometimes write code and sometimes that includes hobbyist game development.
