The Humble Very Positive Bundle 2 is an awesome deal

By -

Low on cash? Here to help! The Humble Very Positive Bundle 2 is a damn good deal going right now with great Linux games.

For "Pay what you want":

  • RIVE: Wreck, Hack, Die, Retry
  • Neon Chrome
  • Dungeon Souls

If you pay more than the average you get:

  • Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition
  • Ultimate Chicken Horse
  • Oxenfree

If you decide to splash the cash for $10 (about £7.39) or more:

  • Death Road to Canada
  • Beat Cop

All of those titles support Linux and most of them are fantastic. You also get a Middle-earth: Shadow of War Pre-Order at a higher tier, but since it's not on Linux, who cares?

To be honest, I'm really surprised that RIVE is in the PWYW section, as it's one of the best action platformers I've played in the last few years. Two Tribes really did a great job with it.

I think the bundle is worth it for RIVE and Shadow of Mordor easily, the others are mostly decent too.

Yes, it cheered me up that all the games in the latest bundle supported Linux. Also... quite a few of them are DRM Free Downloads as well as having Steam keys.

For me, I've already got most of the nicer titles, namely RIVE, Shadow of Mordor, Oxenfree and will most likely get the lowest tier. So, anyone think Beat Cop or Death Road to Canada are particularly good (and why)?

Don't know how much it helps but Liam wrote a few articles about both:

I already have everything except a few I have no interest in. Hmmmmmm, that's been happening a lot lately.

Most of the DRM-free Linux stuff is in the PWYW.
So, it is tier-1 and Free Software Foundation for me.

I kinda like when Humble Hundle is not a useless Steam keys re-seller and means busyness, even if most of the deals are shovelware. :-)

I think I'll just pay a small amount since I'm only interested in RIVE. I do love the LOTR setting but not the game play of "Shadow of Mordor". The story is also not LOTR related, only the setting. And that is not well-made in my opinion....
