Slime Rancher, the game where you run around collecting assorted slimes has been updated and it's a big one.
This update, release on October 17th, adds in a new area: The Wilds. This huge new area is a little on the dangerous side, with it containing "the feral descendants of the long-extinct saber slime" and more.
You can access The Wilds after receiving an invitation from Ogden Ortiz. To get it, you must have done at least one Range Exchange with him, unlock the Moss Blanket, and unlock the Overgrowth. The amusing thing about going to The Wilds, is that the "warp network" is unreliable, so it won't send you to the same place every time you go there.
On top of that, it also adds in a new Casual Mode. This mode doesn't have any tarr slimes, so it's a more relaxing experience, likely good for a younger audience. Feral slimes aggressiveness has also been reduced for this mode, with them no longer perform their "butt stomp".
See the full changelog here. It also fixes a bunch of bugs, a few balance changes and more.
Really great to see the developer continue to expand the game with free updates, it is an incredible game with such a fantastic setting, go check it out if you haven't already!
QuoteDrones
Adorable drones will be added to Slime Science, allowing you to selectively automate parts of the ranching experience! Manual ranching will still be required, but drones will reduce your workload and leave you with more time to explore!
Kind of afraid of being burned out on this again :P

This will make my daughter very happy. Boy does she complain about those tarr slimes!
