Shotgun Farmers [Steam] is by far one of the best new ideas for an FPS game and this new update brings in more content.
Instead of picking up ammo boxes, bullets that hit the floor literally grow a new weapon for you to harvest. It may sound completely silly, but it works really well. It doesn't have a large amount of players online, which is why it's great that it has an offline mode with bots too. Would be nice to see some regular Linux games on it though, could be a blast.
The latest update adds in a new map called Graveside set in a spooky graveyard, but it also has a unique feature: teleporters. There's also a nice sniper position in the bell tower.
The developer also worked in improving the spawn system, so you're much less likely to spawn close to enemy players. Which should prevent some frustrating situations.
On top of that, the AI also got a little bit smarter with strafing and navigation to make bots a little more menacing.
Do check it out, I love it. It's also on sale with 33% off right now on Steam!
