Since the weekends are generally our quiet time, as I take them to spend a little time with family I'm asking a question: What have you been playing and what do you think?

I've been spending more time than I was expecting in Rust. It's strange really, as it's a game I previously didn't get along with at all and now I'm quite hooked on it.

Not everyone will agree with me on this, but I actually think Rust is one of the nicest looking games on Linux. Sure, there's a good bunch that are better, but there's been many moments in Rust where I have to completely stop and just take in the view. That's in-between all the moments of absolute panic when someone fires shots at me and I have no idea where they are.

I want to share this image I took recently too, from a little meet up we did on our server:

We ended up having some sort of in-game concert and it was rather amusing. What makes it even more interesting, is that community member woox2k managed to hook up some scripts (available on GitHub) to play custom music files in game with the guitars and it was incredible.

If you want to join us on our Rust server, details of our game servers are here.

Anyway, less of my ramblings, over to you! Tell us what you've been playing in the comments.

After 10 hours of Pyre, I went back to roots and starting playing Kingdom Rush again. I made a few short videos showing "perfect" runs. My Youtube playlist here if anyone wants to hear my dulcet tones as I nail down each level.

Quoting: GoboWould have loved to play The Whispered World, but it won't play nice and keeps crashing.

I just played that one very recently, and didn't have any trouble?

Quoting: pedrojmartmI have been playing War THunder. 3 hours every day, sadly it is on opengl and it runs about 30-40 fps minus than on Windows but even like that, i enjoy it. I hope Vulkan get to it really soon.

I'm also a rather frequent WT player (same nick as here), but I can't really complain. It runs flawlessly with all details maxed around 60+fps on 2560x1440 on a GTX1060.

Factorio... Rimworld... A little Project Highrise and Dungeon Warfare.

But I also started going a little classic too... OpenRCT2. I have both RCT Deluxe and RCT2 Triple Threat pack in my Gog account so I have a ton of content to play through. So much content that I don't think I ever played all of it even since buying the games when they were new... before they became classics on GOG. And I don't remember which pack adds the "Six Flags" content, but some of the older roller coasters are now just historical (sadly).

I have not had any problems running OpenRCT2 either... it runs quite well. The worse part is that I did have to scale up the size as 1920x1080 on content that used to run on 640x480 is a little hard on the older eyes.

So I took the free Jump trial to try Orion Trail and completed Ittle Dew, what a sweet puzzle game it is :D

Now I'm in puzzle mode so I'm going for Slayaway Camp that was in the Humble Gems Bundle. EDIT: This one is crashing frequently and there is a steam community thread were crashes were reported by other linux users with NVIDEA.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. It's Monster Hunter meets Skyrim with a little Shadow of the Colossus mixed in. There's just no other game like it.
