Hyper Knights: Battles [Steam, Official Site] is a customizable strategy and simulation game, with a rather unique feature that lets you design the units.

The developer, Endless Loop Studios, also created Blueprint Tycoon, Game Corp DX and my personal favourite of theirs: Hyper Knights. Hyper Knights: Battles looks like it takes some of the work done in Hyper Knights with a similar style, but it's a very different game.

When creating a unit, you design their look, all their attributes and skills and it will have Steam Workshop support so you will be able to share whatever crazy over-powered unit you can come up with. While it is designed around throwing armies at each other, you can also use it to have a single super-unit vs army battle as well to see just how powerful your creation is.

Sadly, the actual trailer seems to only be on Steam, you really need to watch it to appreciate it.

About the game:

Spartans vs Persians, Ogres vs Chickens, Marines vs Archers. Who will win?

Create your own units by drawing the sprites, creating the animations and writing their AI.

Want to make a Goose that can teleport and stuns enemies? You can!
Want to make a Space Ninja that can push and pull enemies while attacking them with lightning? You can!
Want to make a Super Hero that can solo 10,000 enemies? You can!
Your imagination is your limit!

I can see myself and my son quite enjoying this, it sounds really quite funny. I wonder what stupid units I can create to send into battle, can't wait! It releases on December 4th, so it's yet another fun sounding game to look forward to!
