Continuing my search for Linux games to come next year, I came across Far-Out [Steam, Official Site], a hardcore retro-futuristic adventure game and damn it looks good. It's being developed by one person, so I'm quite eager to see what they've been able to achieve.
In this classic mix of horror and adventure, you play as geneticist Zack Paterson, the lone survivor of the Selene. Find out what happened to the ship and the crew and possibly escape. The developer said they've been inspired by games like The Dig, Space Quest, Full Throttle, Blade Runner and more.

I do love seeing that little tux icon at the end of a trailer!
It will feature dynamic gameplay, resulting in multiple endings. What makes me a bit wary of it, is that the developer has said there's no save feature. I can't imagine it being very long due to that, unless they're intentionally making it rather difficult. It sounds like there's many ways to die, with a fair few unexpected events. I'm always excited by space sci-fi so it could be good. As long as it's not as scary as Alien Isolation, I might enjoy it a lot.
It's due for release on February 8th, 2018. A little while to wait, but it sure does look exciting.
Sadly it doesn't have spanish support.

I also asked them about it on their Facebook page. Either way i'm happy they're planning a Linux version.
Quoting: ShmerlSteam only?
At the moment. Hopefully they consider a DRM free version at some point.
Quoteis that the developer has said there's no save feature
So do you just keep this game running in the background perpetually ??
Guess it's designed to be pid -1
