What are you playing this weekend?

By -

It's the start of another weekend, time to grab a coffee and relax with a good game, so what are you going to play?

There's been a lot of really great releases for Linux lately, it's getting incredibly hard to choose what to play.

I am most likely going to be diving into some more "All Walls Must Fall", it seems like such a unique strategy game! I'm a huge geek when it comes to anything involving time travel, so it's speaking to my inner nerd.

There's also the Don't Starve Together event, which was actually quite fun. I've always loved the art style in Don't Starve and this event system is a rather nice idea. It is quite gruelling though, but that's likely down to the teams I keep getting, where everyone seems to go off doing their own thing.

I've also been looking into treating myself to a racing wheel this holiday season, likely the Logitech Driving Force GT, which Feral seem to support pretty well and eBay has some good prices for it. I love racing games, but I can only imagine how much more fun something like F1 2017 on Linux would be with a wheel.

Finally, on a personal note: I am moving house Monday/Tuesday next week and won't have internet installed until Wednesday so please forgive me for no posts during that time. I've lined up our talented wordsmith BTRE with a few posts to keep us ticking over.

Don't hate on me fellas, but I've been spinning the tires in Spintires: Mudrunner for the last week or so under wine. Both Spintires and Spintires: Mudrunner work flawlessly under wine, including multiplayer. Terrific game. Pity it's not ported to Linux.

I'll be going hard on HITMAN this weekend. I already completed the escalation with the cowboy outfit, I need to do the other two and the Patient Zero campaign.

I´ll probably be starting either "Observer" or "Layers of Fear" tomorrow, since I finally milked the last achievments from the "Everspace DLC".

Hoping to try out Don't Starve Together with a friend this weekend, he's played it a lot and I've watched him a little but never felt like trying it myself until he gifted me it just this past week. I'll be going in with basically no knowledge of what to do, so it should be "fun" for him. :P

That and probably some more Human: Fall Flat. Such a fun game.

I need to get a few episodes of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and Skies of Arcadia: Legends recorded before I go away on holiday in a couple of weeks time, so I'll be playing those a lot this weekend. I might play a bit of Everspace too, and/or L4D2 which I haven't played in a while.

I'll play the game called "installing Unreal Engine on Gentoo Linux and get it to work properly". Let's see if I manage. ;-)

I will probably try to finish Mario Oddyssey and some Rocket League.
