It's the start of another weekend, time to grab a coffee and relax with a good game, so what are you going to play?
There's been a lot of really great releases for Linux lately, it's getting incredibly hard to choose what to play.
I am most likely going to be diving into some more "All Walls Must Fall", it seems like such a unique strategy game! I'm a huge geek when it comes to anything involving time travel, so it's speaking to my inner nerd.
There's also the Don't Starve Together event, which was actually quite fun. I've always loved the art style in Don't Starve and this event system is a rather nice idea. It is quite gruelling though, but that's likely down to the teams I keep getting, where everyone seems to go off doing their own thing.
I've also been looking into treating myself to a racing wheel this holiday season, likely the Logitech Driving Force GT, which Feral seem to support pretty well and eBay has some good prices for it. I love racing games, but I can only imagine how much more fun something like F1 2017 on Linux would be with a wheel.
Finally, on a personal note: I am moving house Monday/Tuesday next week and won't have internet installed until Wednesday so please forgive me for no posts during that time. I've lined up our talented wordsmith BTRE with a few posts to keep us ticking over.
A Tale of Two Kingdoms Linux beta
Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth
Both are great. ATOTK reminds me of the King's Quest series, Pillars of the Earth has beautiful artwork.
Quoting: RafiLinuxI am also checking out 'Two Worlds Epic Edition' - not really into RPGs of this nature but I picked it up during the recent sale to give it a spin. Seems OK but the walking around has already started to get on my nerves but I am trying to have some patients. The (mostly unrewarding) exploration of the open world kept me playing Two Worlds for quite a while, but even that wasn't enough to keep me interested in the end. Everything about the story and the gameplay just screams "generic RPG". I can only recommend it for people who are looking for a pointless time-waster.
Will play (if i have enough time) F1 2017 and Dirt Rally
And if i have more time i want to return to Dawn of War III
Maybe StarBreak...
Aaaaaaand died, what would be the next game...

I played a little bit Of ATOK waaaaay back in the day
I didn;t even know it was on Steam or had a Linux beta for that matter
Can you opt in to the beta or do you need a code ?
Quoting: razing32May also be trying some wine in myself :PNo! Try not. Do, or do not. There is no try. -- Wise words from Yoda.
I may "try" WINE myself... It is on my last machine from when I used to play Neverwinter MMO. I may install it on my current laptop and grab Oxygen Not Included. Its part of the Klei sale this weekend. Also I appear to be getting an extra 20%. I think they have a 20% discount for anyone who owns their other games and I have Shank 1/2 from old Humble Bundles as well as Darkest Dungeon.
40% off a recent title on my wishlist is hard to avoid. And while I need to install WINE to play it, Klei has said they will support Linux on this title.
