Lacking funds and need your gaming fix? Got you covered! Company of Heroes 2 is currently free to grab on the Humble Store.
Developed by Relic Entertainment and originally released for Windows back in 2013, it was later ported by Feral Interactive to Linux in August of 2015. It has a single-player campaign, as well as multiplayer versus the AI and Linux/Mac online multiplayer.
If you're unfamiliar, here's the Linux launch trailer:

I've personally put many hours into the game and I do enjoy it, so hopefully more of you will be able to get involved now too.
If you enjoy it, be sure to check out one of the DLCs in future to support Feral Interactive so they can continue to port Linux games. Most of all, just enjoy a good free game! Grab it free right here.
Ps. As noted in our comments, be sure to redeem the key by December 30th.
"The redemption deadline is December 30th, 2017 at 10:00 AM Pacific. You have 15 days left!
Immediately after 10AM Pacific on December 30th, the Steam key will magically vanish as if it were just a figment of your imagination, leaving this cryptic message behind in its wake."
Should be noted that if not redeemed my December 30th your key will vanish from Humble:I assume you only see that if you redeem it? Doesn't show that for me on the store page.

If you're a heathen double-booter like me, by the way, ubisoft is currently giving away Assassin's Creed 4 (which is a very good game, by the way). Earlier on they gave away Watchdogs.
btw. the redeem-period of 15 days is perfectly normal. Those keys are not active for a lifetime, you usually have around 2-3 weeks to redeem them.
But on the other I can't help but think these kind of promotion does no good for Feral Interactive.
Because most people interested to get it on windows already have the game since few years. And I get a free product from some people who worked hard and did very good job to port it to Linux.
I'm money tight like many of us for christmas, so hee's my deal, if I like the game I will purchase a couple of the extensions at feral store.
Good week end everyone.

I guess most people who would pay money for it already got it, and this way, Feral gets some money for the rest of us (like me).
Well, I guess I'll play it later. :)
Is it my delusional perception, or have companies really stepped up this giveaway thing recently? I've lost count of how many games I added to my collection this year, from giveaways. I guess it's an efficient advertising strategy. Maybe.

How do I get the key WITHOUT linking my steam account to Humble Bundle. I never claim their free giveaways because of this, I don't want my steam account linked to IGN properties. please help :)

Aren't they displaying the key anymore, to redeem manually?
Your Account => Library => Keys => Reveal your Steam Key
Nope, I need to link my account to add the game to my Library to have the Key appear. Oh well, I got a long back log anyway...can do without this until GOG give it away (I have no problems claiming their giveaways :D ).
Thanks for the quick replies everyone, appreciate the help

I've been trying to get Assassin's Creed 4, but every time I log in on their site for it, it says "login error!". Is no one else getting this problem?
Edit: In case anyone else has the same issue, it turns out that getting it through the Uplay client works fine.

Is that just for the free giveaways? because id say 95% of my humble library consists of unused steam keys as ill always opt for the DRM free downloads

I admire the stance but personally I have zero problem given my information to steam/humble whatever because Google already has it so does my bank/insurance company/ISP/Government etc etc

Yes you click reveal key, then copy the text, then you go to your steam client and click "activate product on steam" and put in the key, that's what I did anyway.
I just took a screen from Steam :D.
