If you can't beat them, join them? It seems that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive may be getting a PUBG-like mode.
I should state, for the record, that this is entirely speculative of course. However, it's interesting to note especially for Linux gamers since we do not have anything really like PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS and the developer has no plans for a Linux version. I would certainly appreciate something resembling it on Linux, as I do love those types of games.
The information comes from Valve News Network, where they go over a bunch of patches to look at content not yet released. The results really very interesting!

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Valve did this, as it could bring back a lot of players to the game. It would also of course be open to a much wider playerbase, since Counter-Strike: Global Offensive works on both Mac and Linux. Honestly, it just makes sense. They have a pretty good FPS engine, there's a current type of FPS game-mode that's incredibly popular, why wouldn't they go for it?
It would be interesting, if they went the Dota 2 way of allowing custom game modes, not just an official new PUBG-like mode. However, the content leaked as shown in the video above, does make it very clear that it seems to be some sort of survival mode. This Survival Island map, plus everything that seems to be coming like parachuted supply drops, will make for a rather interesting update—if it comes that is.

The reason why Windows 7 is popular in Asia mainly because of piracy. Before then, Windows XP was popular one to pirate.

I once had five Atari STs set up in my bedroom, linked by midi cables. Power bars everywhere, TVs jammed together. What a game. And it worked brilliantly! We played it for for hours, knowing that we'd likely never go to such lengths ever again. We were right... Worth it though.

Do you know why people are not upgrading to Windows 10? AFAIK, you can upgrade a pirated Windows 7 as well (though the result will still not be legal).

I know some businesses such as camera/photofinishing shop and public service still using Windows XP either original or pirated version. My former workplace (quits because wanna help my friend's business) last year only just migrated to Win 7. So, do the math when they will upgrade to Win 10 :D.
Another thing (again) is the ever growing (and confusing models) of smartphone. For social media/general internet usage, smartphone is good enough for average people. Hell, few days ago when I got parcel from Pos Laju, the postman ask me to sign on his company's smartphone. Before then, it just good ol' paper & pen.
But, on gaming perspective, Windows 10 (no idea whether pirate or original) is on the rise because of very obvious reason (new CPU no longer support Win 7).
On Malaysian Linux community, I've never found one that always active. Before I found Gaming on Linux, I always watched Penguin Recording's videos (he's Malaysian) on YouTube before he goes MIA. That's why I'm here, which is also improve my rusty and terrible English :P.
