Hand of Fate 2 [GOG, Steam, Official Site] is quite excellent and now it looks to be even more so. The Dealer's Apprentice update is out, free for everyone.

While they're still working away on the Endless Mode, they have been regularly patching the game to improve all aspects of it and this free content update is rather tasty.
Now, when you complete the final encounter, you will actually unlock The Dealer companion to help with ranged attacks during combat and he can influence any tabletop gambit, though at great personal cost. On top of that, the free update comes with some more customisation items too.
Weirdly, even though it's a free update, you need to manually claim it in the new Additional Content section of the main menu. A little odd, but okay whatever.
