Feral Interactive are up to their usual funny business with a brand new Linux port teaser up on their radar.
This is now the second unannounced Linux game they're teasing (here's the other), so I can't wait to see what they have cooked up for us. The last teaser was put up a good few months ago now, so hopefully at least one of them will release soon. They're both in the outermost part of the radar, so they could still be a while away. We don't really know what "Quite Soon" actually means, it could end up being tomorrow, a week or more.
Anyway…here's the latest teaser from their port radar:
"It's just a shot away"
Begin the guessing games! What do you think this be? Exciting! I'm sure these won't be the only titles this year too, let's see if they can truly surprise us.

Personnally, I don't really care but I understand Chepati's point of view. It's true that many purchases could get postponed for the official Linux release if us, dualbooting gamers, knew earlier that the game was coming.

That's not what I'm talking about; I'm talking about performance *disparity*, and for *some* titles, it *does* exist.
As to whether this is a serious problem or not: To people who are *already* committed Linux users, it may not be a big deal; but we can't deny that it could be a serious deterrent for people whose #1 concern in building a desktop pc is gaming.
As of now we don't have the choice. Why? Maybe it's because they believe there will be no return (game already bought by most people - on Windows), so why limit yourselfs if that can help?
And no, I'm not saying that all games should have separate versions.

No we cannot. But I don't think that thouse who care that much for gaming will want to go Linux in the first place.

We announce titles as early as feasibly possible. Until it's time to announce them, we can have Feral Radar clues or we can have good old-fashioned tumbleweeds.
