Hinterhalt [Steam], a WW2 small-scale strategy game that's currently in Early Access has Linux support and it's showing a lot of promise already.

It's obviously a bit on the rough side, since it's a single developer and the game isn't finished. However, it's already quite fun. It feels like a blocky Company of Heroes almost.
It has quite a few different unit types like riflemen, snipers, heavy machine gunners and even vehicles as well. There's a surprising amount of content already baked in. There's also a lot of control options available with multiple camera modes, different unit formations and you can get your units to go slowly, a bit quicker or get them to run. I've been constantly shocked at all the little touches!
However, it's going to need a fair amount of work to get it into a really good shape. For one, the range of all the units seems to be way too long, especially considering the maps are only small. You don't really get a chance to do a lot right now, because units are firing at each other from the very start of the game. That's probably the biggest problem with it right now, there's no real chance for tactics, because everyone's range is nuts.
If you like your strategy games, this is going to be one to keep on the radar. I won't outright recommend it just yet, but it does show huge promise. You can find Hinterhalt on Steam.
