Just a quick tip this one: The Humble Monthly Bundle is quite hit and miss for Linux gamers, but the current one is actually not bad at all.
For $12 a month, which you can cancel at any time it will give you Civilization VI, Vikings scenario pack and the Australia civilization and scenario pack. That's actually pretty good, considering it also gives you 10% off Humble Store purchases.
You also gain access to the "Humble Trove", a collection of DRM free games like Torchlight, Torchlight II, LIMBO, Gone Home, Shadowrun Returns and quite a few more Linux games.
Last month had Tomb Raider, Dawn of War III, The Long Dark and more which was also a pretty good deal.

The problem with the humble monthly is always the same. No guarantee I'll always get a Linux game. I'll probably subscribe for this month and cancel before the end of the month.

Yes, you can always cancel which is no problem.
About this trove-thing: Is it possible to Download those games and use them after canceling the subscription?

Yes, you can always cancel which is no problem. As long as you download them before cancelling they are self contained DRM releases.

One thing I'm confused about myself is, how do you cancel the subscription?

I really dislike the whole idea of the monthly bundle. For the same reason I wouldn't want to buy a sack of stuff for cheap in the grocery store, with the promise that there's at least one product in there I'd actually eat. I think the concept "muddles" the market, even more than normal bundles. Also there's my dislike of subscription services in general.
Civ VI is on my wishlist, but I'll pass on the monthly, again.

Signed up. Activated my Civ VI key on Steam. Cancelled my subscription. Whole process took 5 minutes tops and I even got a discount since it was my first time subscribing. Hells yeah.

Sharing my own status on Humble Subscription:
For a long time, I've been watching it, starting a monthly subscription when I like the early-unlock game, taking advantage of the extra 10% store discount while it is running. Then I cancel the bundle before the next one starts just in case I don't like the next bundle and they charge me for it.
Generally, I've been fairly happy with the hidden games, but as long as the early-unlock is good enough I don't mind if the hidden selection is useless for me (as a Linux gamer). On occasion I've been very pleasantly surprised by the hidden selection.
Also noting something else Humble have been doing recently - They have been giving $2 Store Wallet Credit to Subscribers, when the Subscriber buys one of the regular Full Bundle (e.g. This one: https://www.humblebundle.com/games/hope-for-orphans-bundle ).
BUT, I changed this mode of operation this New Year. This is my new way of using the Humble Subscription:
I took advantage of the Yearly Subscription Deal at the start of the new year. It was this: Pay for 1 year subscription, get 12 months for the price of 11 months, and ALSO get $20 Humble Store Wallet Credit.
The 1 year Subscription is actually 12 Monthly Credits. You can pause the subscription at any time, and then not take a specific Month's game titles (e.g. because they are Windows-only). Then you continue it again, once there is a game you want. While the subscription is running you get 10% discount on nearly all your store purchases.
For me, I expect I'll pick up approx 50% of the monthly releases, so this 1 year subscription will last me the next 2 years before it runs out (I imagine). And yes, I picked up the current Civ 6 early unlock (Feb 2018 bundle).

Yeah that's a good idea. That's what I did when XCOM2 was in the humble monthly. I would get this one too but unfortunately I already have Civ 6.

I always keep an eye out for the early-unlock and get it when I would have paid the price for the game(s) anyway. This was the case for Civ 6, XCOM2, The Long Dark together with DoW 3 and Total War: Warhammer. Everything on top of that is a bonus.

One thing I'm confused about myself is, how do you cancel the subscription?I just found out where to cancel the subscription, it's hidden away in Account Settings, I found it by accident as there's nothing on the site anywhere, that I can find, telling you how to unsubscribe, except on the page where you can cancel it. helpful eh?

Yes, they're playing sneaky so-and-so's. I checked that pressing "Cancel" leads to the Pause your Subscription dialogue.

Sounded pretty straightforward to me : how to cancel subscription : account -> cancel !!Well perhaps I'm used to being spoilt with a cancel button right where I can find it without hunting. ;)
