If you're in the mood to pick up some cheap games the Humble Staff Picks Bundle: Scribble is now available and it has a few Linux games.
Here's what you can get (I will only note the Linux games) for PWYW:
- Punch Club
- There's also Tempest, which did add a Linux beta recently. However, they seem to have broken the beta download for Linux users with no reply to users on Steam or us here when asking about it.
If you dig a little deeper, to pay more than the average you will get:
- Aragami
- Beholder
- BioShock Infinite
Finally, if you pay at least $12 (about £8.88) you will get: SHENZHEN I/O.
That's actually not a bad list at all, I'm a huge fan of BioShock Infinite and Aragami is also pretty great.
Not gaming related, by they also have a Python book bundle going as well.

Everything with the exception of Aragami has been bundled before. Heck, Tempest is bundled right now in another cheap bundle. Bought it for Aragami, but not very impressed otherwise.

Looks nice. Grabbed it.

Also worth noting is that 5 of the games have DRM free download versions (3 Linux games - Aragami, Beholder, Shenzhen I/O) and 3 of the games have Soundtrack downloads.

You see, before New yeard i had a chat with one person about Hammerwatch (old one and new one), i complained about how hard it is and person i was speaking with say i was playing it all wrong. Ok, i said. i give it another try.
I get to my Humble Library, found Hammerwatch hit download and...around half of it download stalled.
I tried numerous times - it was always failure, you get some part fo file then silence and connection reset by server. Nor different browser not wget able to download anything. I tried another games - none of them was downloading.
In the end i was able to download it via humble's torrent. barely.
Maybe it was regional CDN problem or tech issue but it was pretty unpleasant thrill for me.

I use Steam, GOG, Humble, itch.io as well as resellers (like Fanatical) and don't have any particular bias towards any of them.
Whenever I have downloaded DRM free titles from Humble, I haven't experienced any problems myself. Also noting that Humble also provide Bittorrent links, as an alternative to downloading over web-browser. They also provide md5 hashes of the download files so you can check that your downloads/torrents have completed correctly and authentically.
If you are having web download problems, maybe fire up Transmission (bittorrent client) and download the file that way instead.
I've never had especially troubling download issues with those other sites either. Yeah, a download may fail once in a while (most likely due to line problems at my end) but I kick it off again and pick it up the next time.

Bioshock is really fun.

Another way to look at it is that Shenzen I/O is $12 for the top tier of the bundle. Right now, in the middle of the Steam Winter Sale, Shenzen I/O is 25% off at $11.24. Might be worth it for that alone.
Not sure if I will get the Scribble Bundle, but I'll probably grab the python books. There seems to be a few advanced topics in there.

Shenzhen I/O has been at the top of my wishlist for a while, so I guess I'll just have to pick it up. I thought TIS-100 was brilliant, so I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed.

Yeah, i actually did that, albeit lately i more like Tixati then Transmission.
But with torrent there is problems too - there is not much seeds in swarm for Humble torrents and webseed which humble hosting is rather slow and not willing to transfer data too.
I cannot recall any problem ever before Humble was sold, so i kind of worrying if they started to shifting away from DRM-FREE to simple steam resell.

keep in mind though for amd mesa at least for me aragami has graphics corruptions and actually keeps freezing the OSIts not just Mesa. It's the same for me on Nvidia. I contacted the Dev's about it and I don't think it will be fixed.
i have tested it on xubuntu solus and antergos all three yield the same result

The game comes with a nice back story and even material to print out like in the old adventure games. For me that game alone was worth buying the bundle for. There is also a little card game as part of the back story that is really well done.

Shenzhen I/O is definitely worth it, even if you felt TIS-100 was a bit inaccessible. No easier though. It hurts my brain, but I'm loving it.Aragami and Bioshock seem like okay games, i may get it for them. Has anyone played the Shenzen I/O game?
