Features:

  • A variety of folk tales and personal stories to encounter, told by characters from all over America
  • Beautiful combination of 3D overworld and 2D illustration in its own unique style
  • Stories by a wide selection of excellent writers
  • An emerging fantastical, psychedelic, surreal, and creepy tinge as the game continues

It's due for release sometime this year, with Steam saying "Early 2018" and it does look and sound incredible.

The Steam store page lists SteamOS + Linux system requirements, but their presskit does not mention Linux. I've reached out to the developer to see if we can make it clear.

What a shame they had to get Sting involved, it would have been straight on my wishlist if he wasn't part of it.

While the first trailer hyped me a bit more it's still in the top5 of my most anticipated releases! =)

What do you have against Sting? Personally, I might buy it *because* he's involved. That, plus, "Goin' where the water tastes like wine" is a prominent lyric in one of my favorite Grateful Dead songs - "Goin' Down the Road Feelin Bad" (and also "Goin' where the climate suits my clothes")..

Ehhh, Sting's fine. He's done some good stuff and some bad stuff, I don't really care. Game looks interesting though.

Shouldn't we wait and see what they respond first?

Having system requirements filled out, does usually mean it's coming. No reason to think it isn't.

Sadly the trailer does not tell us much about gameplay.
Do you just wonder and listen to folk tales ? That's it ?

Point. It seems like you get some kind of dialogue choices. I might go out on a limb and infer from a tiny piece of stuff shown, that which dialogue choices you have available may depend in some way on what Tarot cards you've somehow acquired. But beyond that it's kind of a blank.

The music in the trailers is great so far, I hope this is a key element.
