The developer of Nirvana Pilot Yume [Steam, Official Site] sent word to us today that their mix of a 'steamy' visual novel racing game hybrid is now on Linux.
Inspired by the retro game 'SkyRoads' that was released on DOS back in the 90s, it blends together a story with 5 possible endings, a metal-wave soundtrack along with "Sexy scenes not just for the sake of it, they are part of a story"—well then! Apparently there's some nudity in it, so you've be warned. It's nice to see a visual novel do something a bit different, even if parts of the game are heavily inspired by another game.

The question behind this game is so heavily silly... and I have no idea why I'm interested in the answer. But it has a lot of Synthwave and all that stuff, maybe that's why.

The old SkyRoads (1993) and SkyRoads Xmas Special (1994) still play great under DosBox and I still love that old synth music.
It will be great if the new game can give a fresh twist, without loosing the basic playability.

So they basically put a racer , a visual novel and nudity in a blender ?
I'll admit , even if this is not good , it has got me curios.

One should probably never say "nudity" and "blender" in the same utterance.

The dialog screens look god awful but the gameplay looks fun, if I was them I would reboot the trailer and try to not have static dialog screens.
Honestly I think that constitutes a pacing problem -- going from fast paced action to 100% deadstop is a conflict of styles.
