PayPalTower 57 [Official Site], a fast-paced neo-retro shooter that I originally wrote about back in the summer of 2016 is still coming to Linux, although there's still no date for it.
The game was originally funded on Kickstarter way back in September of 2015, where the developers gained over €51K in funding. A Linux version was mentioned all over the Kickstarter, but sadly years later it's still not out. Today, they've officially released a version of it for the Amiga (seriously) and in the Kickstarter update they do specifically mention a Linux version is still coming—with no expected date.
I have to say, I'm a little shocked that the Amiga stretch-goal saw a priority over Linux support. Anyway, here's their launch trailer to remind yourself of what it is:

As you can see, it's a pretty decent looking shooter, inspired by some of the classics like Chaos Engine. I've been wanting to play this for so long, hopefully the wait will be over this year. Will keep you updated if they eventually make good on their word.

In regards to the Amiga port, from what I remember, they reached out to the Amiga community and got developers who were used to working on the platform to develop it. This means it was a third party which developed the Amiga version.
Personally, I am not aware of how they plan on doing the Linux development.

I backed this because it promised a Linux and an Amiga version (I have an AmigaOne X1000 and run Linux as my main OS).

I was trying to post something similar, apparently fell asleep, and then closed out the app on my phone.
I was kind of hoping for an old school Amiga port, since I currently only have OS4 running under FS-UAE, but I guess I could test it out there and still play it on 'Linux'. :P
