Kerbal Space Program: Making History Expansion [GOG, Steam] is the first expansion for the amusing rocket-building sandbox game and it adds some pretty decent content.

Here's what it adds:
- Mission Builder: This robust new feature puts the process of creating and editing missions in players’ hands with endless possibilities. Players can customize their own missions to include launches, landings, rescues, malfunctions, explosions, repairs, and much more. Unique victory conditions, exciting challenges, and unexpected obstacles provide an array of complexity in these missions. Challenge others by sharing your created missions with the KSP community.
- History Pack: Play a variety of pre-made missions inspired by humankind’s own space exploration. From spacewalking to crash landing and everything in between, players can attempt to recreate moments inspired by historic events, but with a unique Kerbal twist.
- New Parts: This expansion also includes dozens of new parts along with new astronaut suits, all inspired by the historic Space Race. Players can use these parts and suits throughout Kerbal Space Program.
It's certainly not an easy game, one which I've personally struggled with quite a bit. It's amusing though, my failures have kept me going as I've wanted to do better. Some games are fun to fail in, KSP is certainly a game that fits there. For me, I hadn't actually played for quite some time, so it was interesting to re-learn it all. What I especially like about KSP, is how simple it actually is to build a ship. Getting it to work properly and go where you need to is another story altogether, but the tutorials are decent enough to get you going.
If you were already a fan of KSP, picking it up I would consider to be a no-brainer. The Linux version seems to work really well, which is awesome. KSP has an already active modding community, which the developer has now given a big boost thanks to the Mission Builder, it will be interesting to see what people can come up with.
Find the expansion now on GOG and Steam, for those who don't own the actual game it's currently 50% off on both stores for another few hours.
Quoting: GuestDid they ever fixed the fonts in the Linux version? What issue? I didn't notice any font issues in my testing of the game + the DLC.

Take Two changed the EULA to claim they own any and all mods made for the game. They also now state that you can only have 1 downloaded copy of the game ever, so people that like to have copies of different game versions (for archival, or mod compatibility, since the "active" mod community doesn't always update their mods to the latest release, so people still playing on older versions just for mods is actually super common) are technically breaking the rules.
This seemed like a really big thing right when the DLC dropped, and now I can't find any reference to it. Maybe it was people misunderstanding the EULA, or maybe it just got hushed up, but I would say that if people care about EULA's and rights and stuff, they should look into it before buying.
Edit: Found some stuff, it seems that some people are claiming the wording was just changed by Take Two but means the same thing (they get full usage rights to user generated content uploaded to their services, which is quite a bit less threatening). But as always, be aware that the EULA has changed, if you care about those sorts of things.

In all quite honesty, I am not sure I care about rules like that. Even if I would be aware of them, which I never am, because I am habitually not reading EULAs. I find it actually offensive to expect me to read 15 letter pages of legal gibberish to play a game. I am an otherwise very law-abiding and honest person, but stupid breaking rules like that wouldn't make me lose any sleep.

I had problem with missing fonts on kerbal and other games. I installed every font I could find and that solved it as I have not seen that problem again. I thought that was about Arch but Feda has ubuntu as an icon and mentioned it. strange. So it was not about Arch. Anyway, developers should never make hard assumptions about installed fonts. Such stupid dependencies should be regarded as bugs.

The new parts may be reason enough for me to go back and visit Mün, though.
