This is quite a surprise, KING Art have revamped their 'whodunit' adventure game The Raven – Legacy of a Master Thief and it's now available.
Going by the aptly named The Raven Remastered, it's actually free for everyone who owned the original! I love it when developers do this, it's not like they have to, but it's still great. Here's the trailer:

I don't think I'll be replaying this one (it's looong) but it's nice they didn't release it as a separate product as some publishers tend to do.

This was one of my recent fav graphic adventures, glad to see a little revamp. Once they put it on GOG I will give it a replay I reckon.

Nice! I think this game was pretty good as far as I remember. Not a favorite adv-title by any means but still well worth playing. However, as I recall, the game was fairly good/modern-looking to start with, so I'm not sure if there really was any need for further enhancements.

This is good news, because the original game was excellent but had a number of graphical quirks. I might replay it if I have the time, I remember enjoying it a lot.

They have also added the Italian translation, which was not present in the original release, it's time to finally play this game! :)

Quite enjoyed this game. Wonder if the remaster is just an asset update, or if there are engine updates included. I had problems playing it originally (drivers), but that's all hopefully fixed by now.
-- 3 hangs at the start (as in had to manually stop the process) before it loaded to the main menu. Not a good first impression of the remaster, but afterwards it appears to work ok.
On my first start the game seemed stuck, but doing an ALT-TAB solved the problem.

I had the original but I could not get it to run on Linux for the life of me.
Hope this runs better.

I never played the original so I may pick up the remaster at some point. Having a DRM free version bumps it up my list.

I already own this game, it was actually one of the first Steam releases for Linux games I purchased. Unfortunately for a while, I've had issues with crashing due to resolution support. Refusing to run on 21:9 monitors even with black borders was a pain. I'll be interested to see if this runs now. Look forward to playing it on a more optimized engine as well, there were definetly a few quirks to this game.
