EARTHLOCK is the upgraded and extended version of EARTHLOCK: Festival of Magic, with a shorter name and tons of new content.

Announced with little fanfare early last week on their Steam forum, they thanked everyone who helped test during the beta. They also noted the demo now supports Linux on Steam too, which I briefly tested and it does indeed work okay.
We've reached out for review keys, so hopefully we can livestream it and write up some thoughts later.
You can buy it from: Humble Store, Steam. No word on a GOG release yet.

Technically speaking, there isn't a single video game that is a real RPG.
The game looks cute, but doubt I have the time to play it anytime soon.

I really love when developers show dedication to their games enhancing them using suggestions from their user base or thinking about and addressing the mistakes they made on a first release.
Another game that comes to mind is Ash of Gods: they just released version 1.2 that really seems addressing all the flaws the game had on release (and makes me want to buy it).

This looks really good , but having never played RPGs in the 90s , not this style anyway , I am not sure if I would like it, :S:

Well, from the trailer I got the impression this game is an incoherent mashup of magic and technology. Yet this is no Arcanum. I don't knoooow...

All that said, I haven't played the game so the 3.5-star average score might be deserved.
EDIT: The Linux port doesn't seem to be available on GOG.
