For those itching to see Rise of the Tomb Raider live on Linux before release, next week Feral Interactive will be showing it off.

It will be on April 10th at 5PM UTC on their official Twitch Channel. Here's a handy timer to help you:

2018-04-10 17:00:00

We've also added it to our Livestream Calendar for you to keep an eye on, as I reminder anyone can submit their own streams to that page.

They also said on reddit, that this month they are aiming to announce a release date and the system requirements that will be needed to play it.

We should have a review of it on the day of release if all goes well, we will also likely do a livestream on the day of release. It's really exciting to have another huge game come to Linux, will you be buying it when it releases for Linux?

If you want to see Feral and Aspyr games in GOG do spare the time and click the +1 button in this wishlist entry: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/bring_feral_interactive_and_aspyr_to_gog
It won't change anything, but I suppose if we can get high numbers maybe we will push both sides to at least consider it.

Nice wish..
I just voted..

But They are married with Valve...

A bit silly even. For that to happen, Square Enix should put these games on gog first.

No they're not.

They still have to deal with the original publisher and so I'm 99% sure the platforms are not up to them.

No, because Square Enix has the publishing rights for Windows... The publishing rights for Linux and Mac are property of Feral..

Quoting: RaymondYes, will buy it but it's so stupid that Square Enix recently had a very good deal on the game (70% off I believe) so close to the release on Linux. I guess many bought the game then and they wont buy the game twice of course, all these sales are already Windows sales....

There is something called TIMING, and Feral was never good at it...

But the real bad guy here is the STEAMPLAY "feature"...
It was OK in the early days of the Steam 4 Linux experiment and the BETA release of SteamOS....
It is OK now if the Linux version and the Windows version has the same publisher....

But STEAMPLAY is REALLY BAD for MAC and Linux publishers like Feral or Aspyr.

C'mon Valve!It is the year 2018!..
If the Linux version of a game has a different publisher than the Windows version, then the Linux version must have a different Steam store page... with even a different full price..

I haven't bought the game yet to make sure that Feral gets honored. Though according to https://www.gamingonlinux.com/forum/topic/3232/post_id=15175 these earlier sales do count for Linux when bought and initially played on Linux.

I wonder if it supports VR? I want to buy either a Samsung Odyssey or a HTC Vive Pro foremost for X-Plane. Later on Alien Isolation etc. should be huge fun also in VR.
While I don't have lots of games, I'll get this one.

Loved the first one (Feral port) and will be picking this up from their store. I rarely pay full price (lack of funds rather than being tight ;) ) but will show my support for their great work.

Also, I don't know if anyone else feels the same way but my game purchases have been slowing down over the last year or so due to the backlog of GOOD games I've yet to play
