You need to be logged in to see when you last updated your PC info!
You can see the statistics any time on this page.
PC Info is automatically purged if it hasn't been updated, or if you don't click the link to remain in for 2 years. This way we prevent too much stale data and don't hold onto your data for longer than required.
If you want your details to actually be included in the monthly survey, be sure to tick the box labelled "Include your PC details in our Monthly User Statistics?" in the PC Info page in the User Control Panel and hit the "Update" button at the bottom, it's opt-in by default for new users.

How's the price of PC Hardware in your area? Especially RAM and HDD or SSD.
Here's the price in my area, Greater KL/Klang Valley as 26th Apr 2018. (Ringgit is pretty unstable, so please convert it to your local currencies)
RAM
8GB DDR3-1333 = RM 270 - RM 310 <<< I'm using DDR3
8GB DDR4-2400 = RM 380 - RM 450 <<< RM 500 ++ in some shops
Comment: RAM price is insane. 1 DDR4 RAM stick can buy Ryzen3 1200 here.
HDD
WD Blue 1TB = RM180 - RM 210
WD Blue 2TB = RM 260 - RM 290
Comment: HDD becoming cheaper this year. Last year 1TB is RM 250. Might buy 2 or 3 HDDs (2TB) on mid-year school holiday.
SSD
Kingston UV400 480GB = RM 500 - RM 600
Comment: Personally, I've never followed SSD price. But, IMO the prices are increasing but not as bad as DRAM.

Sandisk Class 10, 80 MB/s, 32GB = RM 45 - RM 55
Comment: Surprisingly, memory card prices are very stable (No increase or decrease prices). I'm still following the price trend since Ringgit slump in late-2015 till today. 16GB availability are started to decreasing on market. 8GB (both card and thumbdrive) won't go anywhere, it's like floppy disk nowadays.

No problems here with my 1070ti on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed KDE
Its mostly because of not fully understanding the strengths and weaknesses of each one. Plus if you change from AMD to NVIDIA etc then that can drastically change which desktop environment you use, which normally I just change to a more flexible distro.
I have tried plenty of Ubuntu/Debian based dists, OpenSUSE, ARCH. ATM I have settled on Manjaro MATE because it doesn't crash stuff all the time and its easier to maintain my WINE/DXVK experimentation. Plus NVIDIA cards work well with it, KDE/Kwin was a nightmare for that!
Probably because you don't play or do the stuff I do, also you may not be using multi monitor setup. I can tell you one example of Kwin failure, load warthunder, get it to select 4k, have fun. (there are oodles of examples but that is just a easy one).

3 Monitors here, 2560x1440, all fine. The worst I ever see with Kwin is sometimes something causes the graphical effects to break, so my blur effect automatically disables until I restart Kwin, but I don't consider that to be a big issue. I don't mean to suggest that because "works on my machine" it aught to work on yours, but that it may not be that simple of an issue. Either way, it's a shame that you're having issues with it.
Some of the issues could be worked around while others couldn't. For example Warthunder wasn't the only app that didn't detect resolution correctly in launcher, Tomb Raider also had a issue, but its main problem was it does not like kwin either and the mouse LOCKS up when panning view (this is a old kwin issue that never got fixed, I confirmed with feral about this).
I also had a issue where I needed to disable my second monitor for my wine dxvk applications to correctly set to monitor 1 (I tried many things), even if I did get the game to load up at 4k in the correct monitor often you'd get the mouse showing up on the second monitor.
The issues were numerous and there were some work around's that sort of worked, but it was too much of a headache in the end. I do like the customization and feel of KDE, if I ever get a 1080ti killer AMD card in the future I'll probably switch back (very easy to do under arch+manjaro, basically just a package/script install away)
