For The King, a strategic RPG with tabletop and roguelike elements has recently left Early Access, it seems they also published the Linux version too.
We've reached out to the developer for a review key, so hopefully we can give it some proper thoughts in good time. At least early indications are that it's quite good, going by what users think of it.
For now, here's the release trailer:

About the game:
For The King is a challenging blend of Strategy, JRPG Combat, and Roguelike elements. Each play through is made unique with procedural maps, quests, and events. Brave the relentless elements, fight the wicked creatures, sail the seas and delve into the dark underworld. None before you have returned from their journey. Will you be the one to put an end to the Chaos?
Fight and die as a party in fast paced and brutal turn-based combat using a unique slot system for attacks and special abilities. Find and gather herbs for your trusty pipe to heal your wounds and cure your maladies. Set up safe camps or brave the horrors that nightfall brings.
You can grab a copy from Humble Store or Steam.
Anyone who played it co-op with any experiences?
The way that trailer describes it , it almost sounds like an expansion of sorts.
Quoting: PatolaThis one bugged me.
I love Strategy, but I loathe roguelike.
I adore Stealth, but I despise procedural generation.
I am addicted to Turn-Based RPGs, but I hate JRPGs with a passion.
Can't decide whether I will have love or hatred for it.
Flip 3 coins ? :D
Quoting: TheSHEEEPI am very much interested in this, especially the co-op.I didn't even know it had co-op until you mentioned it, so I looked into it more. Steam reviews are mixed on the topic. I watched a co-op Twitch stream for a little bit. I don't know if this'll be my cup of co-op tea. Watching it makes me feel like I'd rather play NWN where each player has freedom of movement.
Anyone who played it co-op with any experiences?
Thanks,
Quoting: berillionsLiam, do you know / can you ask to the dev if the game will be available on GoG for Linux version ?
Thanks,
Probably Linux version is not on GOG because, according to Steam reviews, linux build is pure crap. Its broken, have problem with launching, and if its launch there is sound and graphical problems. It seems like it wasnt tested at all.
Maybe after some polish...
