For The King, a strategic RPG with tabletop and roguelike elements has recently left Early Access, it seems they also published the Linux version too.

We've reached out to the developer for a review key, so hopefully we can give it some proper thoughts in good time. At least early indications are that it's quite good, going by what users think of it.

For now, here's the release trailer:

I am very much interested in this, especially the co-op.
Anyone who played it co-op with any experiences?

Was there a previous version of this ?
The way that trailer describes it , it almost sounds like an expansion of sorts.

This one bugged me.
I love Strategy, but I loathe roguelike.
I adore Stealth, but I despise procedural generation.
I am addicted to Turn-Based RPGs, but I hate JRPGs with a passion.
Can't decide whether I will have love or hatred for it.

Flip 3 coins ? :D

I didn't even know it had co-op until you mentioned it, so I looked into it more. Steam reviews are mixed on the topic. I watched a co-op Twitch stream for a little bit. I don't know if this'll be my cup of co-op tea. Watching it makes me feel like I'd rather play NWN where each player has freedom of movement.

Idea of it being roguelike has some concerns. I loved idea of coop as I have a friend this may be perfect title to play. Anyone know if you can save your progress and continue later?

Thanks,

Probably Linux version is not on GOG because, according to Steam reviews, linux build is pure crap. Its broken, have problem with launching, and if its launch there is sound and graphical problems. It seems like it wasnt tested at all.
Maybe after some polish...
