Deep breaths commander, there's a new UFO sighting on the Feral Interactive port radar indicating a new Linux port is on the way.

Here's the new teaser:

Begin your wild guessing game. I literally don't have a clue, but then I never manage to guess them correctly. Although, honestly I try not to dig too far as when I do I end up thinking about all sorts of wild titles.

We've still got Life is Strange: Before the Storm and Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia yet to come from Feral, so another showing up is quite exciting news. They've ported so many top quality games to Linux now, it's really quite incredible and it's pleasing to see this continue!

Maybe I went overboard with theory, and solution is much simpler.
For example DOOM, first FPS port by Feral and also first Bethesda port, totally turning point for Linux gaming :)

And to go back on Hellblade
That game won losts of prices od BAFTA
-Artistic Achievement in 2018
-Audio Achievement in 2018
-British Game in 2018
-Game Beyond Entertainment in 2018
So Feral is also located in England, and if I was Feral CEO that game would be top priority:)
What ever port will be I'm sure it will be some AAA or close to AAA tilte.

Actually, we have figured out so many hints pointing towards Hellblade in this thread, that it is not super unlikely it could be the teased game. Anyway, are Feral giving out their "solutions" for the riddle after the announcement of the actual title?

Unless the top guys at Bethesda have been kicked out & replaced with Linux friendly people that's never going to happen, which is a real shame, Bethesda need to really sort their heads out when it comes to their rabid non-support of Linux. There are lots & lots of us ready willing & able to throw money at them for their games if they came to Linux without having to buy Windows versions & fiddle with Wine.

Message for Bethesda... Give(SELL) us Native Linux ports of your games & we will love you forever.

The last piece of hint is pretty awesome, but is Ninja Theory Linux friendly? Liam might be in a better position to answer that. From an outisder's point of view, it's hard to tell. It seems to be a small studio, on Steam at least, with about 3 games + DLCs (am I wrong?). None of them are on Linux yet. Maybe it's about to change though?

Still, as of late, it's all about Square Enix, Sega, Codemasters and Warhammer 40K universe titles that are being ported to Linux by Feral... If it's Hellblade, I'll drink to that. :)

I think it would fit their "indie triple-A" attitude quite well.

You may be right. But there are indie studios that chose to ignore Linux, though. Unfortunately, they are not all Croteam... In fact, many of these indie "Linux-friendly" studios support Linux "inhouse". A question comes to my mind and I do not have a definitive answer to it... Did Feral ever ported an indie studio title before?

Edit: My interrogations are really at Feral's level. Hellblade would mean a change in their usual "business patern" which would be most welcome news but makes it a little less plausible, unfortunately.

It's their first self-published non-VR game so now they can decide for themselves. Let's hope they cho(o)se well.

Since Hitman 2 was announced, it may be interesting to figure out a way in which this hint can apply to that.

This wouldn't affect Feral if they're already porting it.

What you dont think MS could or would pull the plug given they now own the IP ?

I doubt they would and even more so they could. You're signing contracts before starting to port...

You mean like when warner brothers told them to stop work on Batman Arkham Knight and then told them its not coming out you mean like that kind of contract.

Also, it's not like M$ bought them on a whim this afternoon; it must have been in the talks by the time Feral put out the 'hint'.

Now i hope for feral to bring cyberpunk 2077...

Quoting: MayeulCHow about Inner Chains? Or maybe even Prey?

Other titles I would find fitting are Deadpool (though that's old) and Dark Souls. Let's bring Doom and Dead Space for good measure :)

Inner Chains didn't sell good even on Windows and devs abandoned the game.

Sure, M$ acquiring Ninja Theory is definitely not a good sign for Hellblade being the teased game. However, it might still be it, since M$ also bought the studio of we happy few and that game will still come to linux and will be available on steam and GOG according to devs. So it's not unlikely Ninja Theory made a similar deal with M$. Also not being allowed to have these games ported to Linux wouldn't shed a good light on M$'s alleged love towards open source / Linux.

In fairness, though, they've never claimed to 'love open source' in any context other than 'cloud services' and the like. If they had made any fawning remarks about desktop Linux, or open source in education, or (heaven forbid) gaming etc., that would've been stomach-turningly blatant in its hypocrisy.

Thin as paper, but still funny:

Paradise lost is like saying there's a knife in the game... Vague as possible. Good job Feral this one is really hard!

Shadow of War confirmed? Lol!
